Hi ladies!! I've missed you all! I hope everyone is doing well - at some point I'll try to go back and read some old threads and catch up. Things still aren't quite resolved with Caitlyn. She did wind up getting readmitted to the hospital after the fever persisted for 10 days. Turns out they think it was a kidney/UTI infection. No one bothered to test for that earlier on even though she was catherized during the surgery. She didn't have any symptoms, so they said it couldn't be that. Her cardiologist admitted her last Friday to rule out any heart infections. They finally did a urinalysis and it was positive. So they treated her with IV antibiotics and sent us home Monday. She's still running fevers, though. Ugh!! They said if she's still running one tomorrow to call. She also has some inflammation around her heart from the surgery and that can cause fevers also. So, if the fever keeps up, they'll treat her for the inflammation with steriods. I asked how they're given and the doctor said we'll talk about it if necessary. She did say it could be IV. If she has to be readmitted I may lose my mind! Keeping my fingers crossed though. Our dads are not doing so well, so keep them in your prayers please.
Chris, sounds like your toe must be doing better. How funny. We have picture day tomorrow, too. Caitlyn is still out of school, but we're bringing her in tomorrow so she can be in her class picture. And, I just came back from shopping for new shirts for the boys! And I got a new dress for Caitlyn too. Ewww on your cat in the litter box! Animals do strange things!
Beth, that sounds like a scary fall. So glad you are OK. Take it easy for a day or two to make sure you're OK. That rotation of yours Chris posted looks fun.
Vilma, sounds like you're really progressing with the kettlebells! I think DH would die if I came home with anymore "toys"! I'd like to try them someday, though.
Hottie, hope you're doing OK. I haven't read yesterday's thread, but here's some extra hugs (((()))) if you need them!
Hi Kathy!
I've been trying some new workouts since I can't really follow a rotation with everything going on. I'm trying to get to some that I've never tried. The day before yesterday I did Rob Glick's Strength Training. OMG - my legs were so sore yesterday I could barely walk. I tried to do Amy's Advanced Step Challenge 3 but between my lack of energy, the complex moves and my aching legs I didn't make it too far. Today was Cardio Force by Ann Mairs. That was really fun. I'm trying to rotate a total body or circuit with cardio.
Have to run...
