Another day waking up to cold 35 degree weather and freeze warnings ::sighs:: and the sun is not up yet.

Ah well in another hour or so.

Need to go check on the kiddos and make sure they are up.

I haven't looked back at yesterday's post after mine so I'll be back for personals.

Hey Vilma! Good Morning to you and all to follow...

It's cold here too: 30 degrees this morning. But the sun is shining , and it looks gorgeous out. We're turning the clocks back this weekend, aren't we? I hate it! I hate that it will get dark at 5PM and I hate that I have to work an extra hour on saturday night!!!!!! :mad:

I'm plannning on a solid cardio today. Not sure which. I've done a lot of step this week. Probably will do a Turbo Jam, unless I find something else that sparks my interest.

Today is going to be "baking" day. I'm baking a few breads for the Election Day Bake Sale (will freeze them) and a snack for my 7 yr. old's class for Halloween tomorrow...

Chris: Yes, we do change the clocks this weekend. I also hate it when it is dark so early. I thought I would do some baking this afternoon too. Probably some muffins and cookies...

Vilma: cold here too..Not sure what it was this morning. It is about 42 now though..But, it is sunny and looks pretty outside..

Today's workout will be another Amy Bento one. I was think of trying one of her weight workouts. Maybe cardio pump or something...

Not much else going on. We are getting our school lessons done now. Be back later..

. I'm thinking of throwing in an extra 10-20 Minute Cardio later (I have a Quick Fix Kickbox video w/ 10 minute routines).

Kathy: It seems like a great day to bake doesn't it? It's cool outside, but sunny, and it's a little cool in the house. So having the oven on will be nice. Hope you enjoy Amy today!! Let us know how it goes...

I can only imagine how stuck you're feeling. Is this something you've done before? Do you have meds or physical therapy or anything to help? I feel for you, you poor kid!!!

for doing your CC yesterday!!! I find this group so motivating too, when I "don't feel like it"! And yes, my 13 year old has TEEN issues that really bug me. the entire exerting their independence and thinking they are adults, when they are so far from it! I was never like that to my parents!!!

Hello check-in buddies!! Today was Angie Miller's Strength and Core Fusion. Great workout! It's great to get it done in the morning, which I haven't been able to do much of lately.

Last night we had my son's band concert which was nice. Then we all went to FIL's house so Jameson could play for him since he couldn't make it. FIL is really going downhill fast and it's so sad to see. He's fighting having hospice come in so it's really hard on the family. Lots of stuff going on. But he loved seeing the kids and having Jameson play for him.

It's chilly here this morning, but going up to 60. Yea! Tomorrow may be 70, which will be great for Halloween.

Chris, I'd never voluntarily do MIC hi/lo, I don't think, so kudos to you!! ;) Oh yea, I was a perfect teen, too! My mom said to me so many times, someday you'll have a kid just like you and then you'll understand!

Kathy, have fun with Amy. I really enjoy her workouts, when I can get the choreography!

Hottie, I missed your post about your back. I'm so sorry. How did you hurt it? Hopefully your recovery will be quick. ((()))

Hey Everyone! Checking in late today.... crazy morning....... I did pyramid upper body and felt like a real weakling! :) Great workout though..... I really like that dvd.

Chris, thanks for pointing me to the post about getting older and beating up your body (or not). You're right -- very interesting. I had read a few posts when it first started, and someone's post (can't even remember now) made me not want to look again, so I'm glad you pointed it out because it was a very interesting discussion.

Hottie, I must have missed the post about your back, too. Hope you have a speedy recovery somehow! Hope everything else is ok, too.

Are we all geared up for halloween? As predicted, my youngest son told me he wants a different costume (than his brother's hand-me-down). So, I'm going to have to try to find time to run to Target today and hope they have something left!! Thank goodness he told me before school instead of after (if we're at home it's an hour round trip, but from work it's easy). It is supposed to rain for us tomorrow -- darn it! But we need the rain so desperately......

hope you all have a good one, baking, and etc. Chris, it sucks that you have to work an extra hour Saturday night!

Hello Chicas!

Today I did LIC (Timesaver Cardio Only). I went to get the kids costumes for tomorrow and I can’t wait to take them out to get candy tomorrow. My daughter is going to be a Genie and my son a pirate! Too cute!

Chris: I don’t like it that it gets dark at 5 either, but I do like that the sun comes out early in the morning. WTG on MIC! I never did the Hi/Lo only part, but MIC is a tough one.

Kathy: I hope you had fun with your workout today! I wish I never sold Cardio Pump.

Joanne: WTG on your workout today! I’m sorry to hear your FIL is not doing so well. I hope he gets better soon. Tomorrow is going to be 75 here and I’m so happy because it’s perfect for Halloween.

Beth: WTG on PUB! I just got the costumes today! I can’t wait to see them all dressed up tomorrow!

Vilma: Did you workout today or was it rest day?

Well, I’m going to get my DS ready for bed and clean up the kitchen a little before DH gets home. Goodnight everyone!
 
Hey guys...no personals as I am posting this from my phone! So, I may have overworked my back on Monday during HSC (I guess on deadlifts) and then the next day when I sorta contorted myself to grab something I seriously hyperextended it. So in bed with heat and painkillers..
except now where i have to be on a plane to go to NJ. It'll be a crazy set of days and I hope my back will be ok. WTG on all your workouts!!!!
 
Hottie: I'm sorry you hurt your back. I hope it gets better soon. I know you can't workout until your back feels better and I know it's so hard to know that we can't workout when we are injured, but think of it as a rest time for your body and then when you are ready to workout you will be all rested and ready to be a calorie burning machine. Have a safe trip! :)
