Good morning ladies..

Today is another cardio day for me..I am enjoying the recovery week. I am thinking of doing something like a hi/lo. Maybe one of Amy Bento's DVDs or a FIRM DVD...

Not much else going on today. Lauren has her book club and we are going to head over to JcPenny outlet. THey have tennis shoes on sale and the kids need new pairs...

Busy day today, as was yesterday!! Greg's day off yesterday, and I hardly saw him. Sometimes I miss my husband :(. Looks like it's going to be that way for a few more weeks too.

Anyhow, going to go start DISC 21, Back & Biceps now...

Chris, I know what you mean about missing your husband -- I have that feeling with Larry quite often (when he is in town and we even work together!). Hope you guys get some time together soon!

I did "Cardio Fusion: The Cursed Release" this morning. :D Joanne, I had a hard time getting into it -- was also doing the All Step premix -- I needed something a bit mellower this morning and thought it was going to be steady state. Then she said we were going to start power circuits and I turned it off! I did my 200 kbell swings, which I also wasn't sure I could face, but got through them, and that was that!

Wonder what is going on with the Lalo 2 release.... anyone heard anything? I think that might make a good xmas present for someone I know....

These boys are driving me nuts already! Ay yi yi..... happy Friday everyone!

Kathy, sometimes it's fun to just do whatever workout you want! After this rotation I'm going to take a week and do some of the new workouts I've gotten (I really do have a problem ;)). I got the new Patrick Goudeaus and the new Jackie Warner.

Beth, I know, sometimes you just can't get into the workout. I did that premix last week and remember being a bit surprised by the power circuits, too. And, the warmup goes on foreeeever. Not sure about Lalofit2 - I know it's up for presale at totalfitnessdvds. I forget the release date listed, but I think it's pretty soon. I think I might preorder it. Did you?

Chris, enjoy Disc 21! Look, you're almost half-way through already.

Vilma, did you see the new Twilight movie yet??

Today was Muscle Max. Good workout.

Hey Girls!

I did do DISC 21. I did ok. OMG, I failed so easily on biceps at the end. I know it's all good, because I'm lifting to failure, but it pisses me off! LOL!. the heavy barbell for back rows and deadlifts KILLED my freakin hands! the bar dug into my palms, with or without gloves. I pinched right under my ring finger and there's this hard sore callus-y thing there now. *sigh*.

Went grocery shopping, and i SO need a nap! I just want to lay down, but I have to leave to go help in Jake's classroom in about 5 minutes. Drats!

Beth: Oh I hate not liking a workout I'm doing! You guys have me all turned off from CF now! Although, I'm going to still try to stay away from step for a bit. I actually felt my calf soreness yesterday , so i don't want to push it. Step with all the lunges is a big stressor on my calves! ... I haven't heard anything about Lalo 2 either. I didn't pre order it. I might just wait on it a bit for now. I hardly do #1 as it is. Even though I *DO* like it alot. I feel like I should put more time in with it before I get 2.

Joanne: YES! I saw the announcement about Shock Cardiio!!!!! I'm excited!!! the wait is the hardest part, isn't it? I hope it comes before Christmas too. You never know the way things get delayed. There's so much variety in it, it blows my mind!... Good workout with MM today!

Better get going...It's so busy with the kids, I hope the other parent is there. Last time it was me alone, and I had to do ALL of the 5 centers! ACK! My mind was mush!
 
I did not preorder Lalo, and I won't, I'm pretty sure. It looked heavy on plank work and I'm nervous about that sort of stuff, though have been cleared to do it! I was telling Chris, I really feel like I've sort of lost some confidence with what I can do. My chiro says that's the worst thing -- I've got to just keep doing stuff -- use it or lose it and all.

The update is exciting, though all that heavy bag stuff is a bit of a turnoff for me (though Travis is really wanting a punching bag, ironically!). But, part of my problem with the workout this morning was twinges in my knee, so I'm a bit nervous about whether or not I'll be able to do these workouts! I guess I feel like I'm getting old. I'll tell you one thing.... I'm going to do some easier on my body workout tomorrow and do it really right so I feel better about things! (ha, I was thinking about going for a run though, too! :))

Chris, I hope the other parent showed up! That's awful (to be there by yourself)!.
 
Oops, I meant to comment on one more thing..... the failure thing..... I was listening to a recent Beyond Diet podcast just last night, and he was saying you have to always work to failure -- that if you're not working to failure, you're basically wasting your time. This was in the context of the question "do you need to be sore every time you work out?" and the answer was pretty much yes, if you want to not waste your time. So, failure good, Chris! I do remember that sore hand problem! Interesting that it happens the second time around!
 
Hey Girls!

Friday evening... I'm ready to put on my jammies and snuggle with my boys (AFTER they've had their showers!).

Beth: Yeah, I'm waiting on Lalo. Too bad there wasn't one of him doing weights, like STS, I'd like that better!... Heavy bag stuff? What is that? As much as I'd love a heavy bag, it's BIG and HUGE and we really don't have a place for it. Is that just an "extra"? ... Interesting about failure! I like that theory! I can say, once again with STS, my upper body is "blossoming". I love the toneness in my arms and back and shoulders!... I think it's wise to mix up harder cardio with lighter , low impact cardio. Turbo Jam is really good for that. In fact, I did some of the "lower impact" options on Turbo Kick, and still worked hard and sweat big!

OMG on helping with Jake's class today. They had a substitute and the kids were in this energized, rowdy mood! It was VERY hard! SOme of the kids were smartass with me ... and LOUD. I swear to God, a substitute teacher is THE WORST job ever! I talked about it at supper time, and the other boys said "You should see what MY class behaves like for a substitute!! :eek:" the other parent did show up. he made a comment when we were walking out about how crazy they were for the sub. Poor girl! I almost felt like I was deserting her by leaving!!

Off to read my sexiest man alive People mag!! (Johnny Depp!!).
