Good morning ladies...

Today is Kick, punch & crunch for me...Then I start my recovery week. YEAH!!! I have some manageable DOMS in my back and biceps from yesterday. That is good news....NOt much else happening. The weather is suppose to be looking better this afternoon and tomorrow...I need to do some housework and later Lauren has choir practice and we will go to church after that..

Talk to you later..

Hey Everyone...

Apparently the rains of "Ida" are here today. It seems it rains most Saturdays here lately. It sucks delivering papers in the rain!

I will do some kind of cardio, depending on what kind of time I have. It won't be Step (I don't want to aggravate my calf), so I think will probably do Turbo Kick Round 32 for the first time!

Kathy: Woo HOO! On finishing MESO 2! I can't believe time is flying with STS this time. I think I'm enjoying it more the 2nd time around, how about you? I have just a little DOMS in my biceps and back. they never seem to get REALLY sore , like my chest and lower body do.

Having to nag at Zach to get underway with these papers. I hate being the mom sometimes!

Chris: Yes, I am enjoying STS and I was just thinking how it seems to be going fast this time. Maybe since I know what to expect it is flying by faster this time..It has been raining alot of Saturdays here too...I bet it isn't fun getting wet delivering that paper.

Anyway, got KPC done and I vacuumed the house. Now, it is shower time and then a little lunch..

Did the papers, not sure about a workout today. It's raining out and the boys are fighting like cats and dogs, whining, crying, SCREAMING. So I am taking refuge in a container of almonds. Doesn't sound bad, but I think I ate the entire container!! I truly saw no other "out" for me. *sigh*. Can't even work out without a fight erupting, know what I mean? Ugh!

Beth: I just went back to look at yesterday's thread. I thought I went back and posted after the service. I was feeling pretty down, actually. Maybe that's why I didn't. It was a very simple, nice service. A Memorial Mass. Seeing everyone from my childhood blew me away. I feel so damn old! The woman's daughter, Nancy, was one of my BF's growing up. Our neighborhood was so cool, you guys. We all lived at each other's houses, and had SO much freedom (can't do that today). My mom remembers a friend coming to the house to play because "My mom is taking and nap and told me to go out to play for an hour". Can you imagine? A nap? ... Anyways, Nancy. who is just a few years older than me, has a 4 yr old GRAND DAUGHTER! Thus the reason for me feeling gloomy and old last night. Along with everything else. And then the prunes. I really do like them! ... THIS may be TMI, but I swear, every time I eat prunes, i get constipated (not for long, less than a day, but it just throws me off in the WRONG direction!). Weird.

OMG, Beth, the comment about prison food was too funny!!!

My tummy is full of nuts. The boys have stopped killing each other, I'm going to try to throw some soup stuff in the crockpot.

Sadly, I will not be able to work out if things don't settle down somehow. :(

Good morning! Happy Saturday...... sorry about all the rain! Kathy, congrats on finishing meso 2!

Chris, I know, I hate being the mom sometimes, too. Nag, nag. And you are so smart for going easy on your calf! I forgot to tell you guys.... just as I am finally feeling so good and back to workouts.... the other night I was about to sit down on a kitchen chair next to Larry and at last minute he pulled it closer to him, so I went down on my butt and arm. It was nearly a bad injury! I would have been so depressed!

So, last night I was wondering if I should have a rest day or one more workout this morning so I went back to look at my calendar for when exactly was my last rest day, and it was.... Halloween! And that included all the standing and walking! So, I slept in today, though I would still like to do some yoga later. I slept until about 8:30! Unheard of for me! Nice. Dylan just got up and Travis is still in bed!

Will we hear from anyone else today? It was so sparse yesterday -- hope everyone is ok. Waves to Joanne, Hottie, and Vilma!

Can already taste the beer that you owe me, Beth!!!! (goes well with the nuts!)

I hate those near injuries, they scare the crap out of me, thinking my workout days could be OVER and throws me into a little panic! Glad you were ok!

Now I feel wimpish next to you, no rest day since Halloween?? I better move my butt SOMEHOW today! I'm a slacker!!!

SLeeping in! Woohoo!!! Your post reminded me of Greg this morning. He comes home at about 6am every morning. I'm usually up in the shower a little before he gets home. So this morning he says, "Guess you slept in this morning, huh?".. SERIOUSLY. not kidding around. I'm like, "Ya, big time sleeping in, I slept until 7am!". It's funny, yet it's not!

Chris, you are funny! Yes, I owe you a beer! Good with the nuts..... I hope you get your workout in. I swear, I feel like I have a really bad hangover and I had not even one sip of alcohol last night! It's a sleep hangover. I'm not sure this was such a good idea. Maybe I'll try to get the kids to go for a walk or something.

Sorry you were glum yesterday. My neighborhood was like that, too. Everyone knew everybody and we were all outside all the time, it seemed like. My dad would whistle for us when it was time for dinner, and all the kids knew my dad's whistle, so if we were too far away, they'd somehow know where to find us and tell us to get home. Those days are gone, definitely. I was talking to someone at work about it the other day and we figured out that over the generations, kids stray from home less and less. And now, nonexistent.

My kids are screaming now, too! Time to boot them out of the house because we have no rain.... (it's a little misty though).

Hi ladies..

Rest day for me today..We are going to go for a walk with the kids and dog a little later. Happy that the sun is out and the rain is gone for today..

I have the same thing with my kids..But, they do more of a debate type of fighting that is bothersome. Neither one wants to end the debate. They both are "right"!!! UGH!! That is a problem alot of mornings with our school lessons. They try to "help" each other and a big debate starts and I have to usually end it!

Chris I was enjoying nuts yesterday too. I was eating walnuts and some cashews. I just LOVE nuts...

Glad you both got to see in yesterday. I like rest days...But, sometimes I feel guilty resting like I am going to gain weight if I don't get a video out. I know it is crazy. But, it gets to me. Today I am going to enjoy resting. Tomorrow I will be starting that recovery week and doing cardio dvds...Not sure what yet...Maybe some FIRMs that I have...

Talk to you later..

Oh I forgot to mention that we decided to go to dinner after church last night. We went to Applebees. I was so good and had one of the weight watcher meals. It was garlic herb chicken with broccoli and a few new potatoes..It was really good!!

Morning! Kathy, good for you on dinner last night! I was definitely much better this week, but did slip some Friday and a little yesterday (halloween remnants still around!). Glad the rain finally stopped for you -- enjoy the walk and rest! I rested yesterday, no yoga, but did end up doing the 200 kbell swings....

Chris, how was work?

I did a circuit from bodyrock.tv this morning -- a mish-mosh of total body stuff that got my heart rate up. I think I may try to do this for a while -- we'll see how it goes. We've had really bad internet flakiness here, so it may be hard for me to get those workouts.

Had a long session of the Settlers of Cattan (a board game) with the boys yesterday -- they really enjoyed it. I'm not sure we played it exactly right -- the rules are somewhat complex! I'm working up to Ticket to Ride, I guess.....

We are having two families over for dinner tonight, so it's going to be cleaning and preping today for me..... hope everyone has a nice day. I'm a little worried about Joanne -- I know she doesn't often check in on the weekend, but we never heard from her on Friday, did we?

Hey Girls!

Kathy: Sounds like a good rest day today! LOL @ nuts! I guess it could be worse, right? Hope you've been enjoying your rest day and start of recovery week. I love Applebee's Weight Watcher choices! They are good, I don't think I've had the one you menitoned, they come out with new ones all the time.

Beth: That bodyrock thing sounds fun and different, good to kick in with the stuff you already do. I did better this past week with eating too. Mon through Friday, I was an angel (and felt pretty good about it, cravings not too crazy). Yesterday sucked. It all just got to me. But better than eating off ALL week , right?

work was ok last night. I was still in a crappy mood. Me and another nurse commiserated about our crazy kids and how they drive us up the wall. At least I'm not alone (although hers are 2 toddlers). I just did not feel like being at work at all, OR at home, for that matter.

Hoping MOnday brings a fresh new MUCH better week!

Yes, Joanne, hope everything is ok there!

*Waves* to Vilma and Hottie (you finished Meso 2???... how ya feeling??)
