+++No Sweets for April 16th+++

Morning Friends,

Eating is good and added some cardio this morning. All hope is not lost. Went to a health fair at DS school last night and they were doing body fat testing, I was surprised to see I came in at 15.4%.:7 Doing better than I thought.

Little worried today, the denist thought my tooth ache was due to the sinus infection, but finished antibiotics yesterday and tooth is hurting again this morning. Which means the tooth could be fractured. Boy I hope not, doesn't sound good.


Today was supersets four sets of eight with 1:30 minute rests.

8/8/8 - 87# --only dropped the weight because I had to lower the wrist weights for biceps--

Then did some ab work then 4DS LIS cardio. And that was enough!

Will someone please kick me in the behind to get me out of this funk!!! I have vacation coming and am soooooooo ready!! Will also take a break from working out too. Well, at least wt- will try to do cardio. But if neuroma doesn't stop acting up may have to curtail that!!

Eating has been good. Well that's ending on a positive note :D

Catherine - Thanks on the chins. But I have to say you inspire me by adding ankle weights. I am not ready to add ankle weights until I can complete all the required reps.
Okay you asked for it so watch out ....*#*#*#*# - There that was your kick in the behind. I hope the foot pain eases up for you soon. I did something to my right quad on Monday so its bugging me, but I just push through anyway. I am sure it doesn't hurt as bad as yours though.

I am sorry about that neuroma! Are you going to have to get surgery, or do the injections alone help??

Maggie, when work picks up DH will complain and then I tell him that I am grateful that his work is busy because it means that he has got a job when so many of our friends have lost theirs. Got to think positive even if I hate it! :) Are you able to pack your lunch before you go to bed for work the next day? I have found that really helps for us.
Your rotation looks fun! Who do you do besides Cathe and Jari?

Linda, wow 15.4%! That is pretty awesome and you have got to be feeling good about that. I actually get to go to the dentist again today for DS #2. He has a more cavities they have to take care of, and I need to go because I have one but I hate the dentist! I have always had horrible dentists and I would rather go to the gyno any day!!!!

Well, I haven't had any sugar but I have eaten a ton of sweet potato chips. All they are is sweet potatoes and peanut oil, no sugar, salt or other chemicals, but they are sooooooooo darned good that I just can't stop! They are packed w/ fiber and a little bit of protein... would you consider it junk food? Stupid question, but I am trying to rationalize here!
Today, since it is GORGEOUS!, I am going to be running the trails. I haven't done a trail run since November and I miss it! I will probably do an 8k trail. Can't wait! :7

Linda, thanks for the kick!!

Missy, I've had my neuroma injected once with steriods and it calmed it down for a year and a half. So I am hoping one more will do the same. I don't really want to have surgery x( But it hurts like a @#$%##@$@ when I am trying to do any aerobic activity. Guess I could do stationary bike -YUK!!

Sweet potato chips sound yummy.

I am planning to do legs and some weighted chinups this evening. Just finished a salad and a turkey sammich :9 Did have one piece of dark chocolate :9

Hey ladies!! Did well for the rest of the day :D Leg and chins are done. Had planned cardio after wts, but neuroma was already acting up x( So no cardio today. Battling my mood still. I keep putting a smile on my face :) See :)

Here's my workout stats:

Chins were weighted 2.5# ankle wts: 6 sets of 5 (I did one one more set of 6 unweighted) Was super happy with these!!! Oh, and several of these were sternum to bar, not just chin to bar!! Now, I must confess too that a few were barely get that chin above :+

Legs
Squats: 95# 9, 10 & 10(up 5# and ^ 1 rep on last 2 sets)
RDLs: 70# 10; 80# 3 sets of 10 (dropped wt a bit and focused on form)
Lunges: 40#-10, 60#-8, 45# 2 sets of 10 (lets just say I suck on unilateral leg work)
GMs: 60# 3 sets of 10 (up5#)
Calf Raises: 125# 3 sets of 20

I haven't done any unilateral leg work in a while and I must work on this as I know Cathe has some in STS :eek:

Catherine - Good job getting your workout in. Way to go on those chins. How often do you do chins and pull ups? Because don't you belong to a chin up checkin too? Hope your workout helped to elevate your mood! You should be proud of yourself, doing legs with a bad foot!

Thanks Linda! My consistency is not always there with chin ups and pull ups. But I try to do chins once a week and pull ups twice a week. Sometimes I am lucky just to get in one day for chins and one day for pull ups :+ Yes, I do belong to a chin up check in :p My foot doesn't bother me too much with wt lifting. Mostly just acts up with cardio- thank goodness.

Working out does help my mood. It's just hormones-dang #@$@#$% hormones x( I will be all better soon!!
