~*~*~NO SWEETS April 8~*~*~

Good Morning:)

Time to fess up...yesterday was awful! I had waaay to many sweets! Doing the same stupid thing I always do. Instead of having a stupid cookie I stand there and trim the edges off all of the cookies and then no one knows how many cookies I actually ate once you add it all together. But in my mind its o.k b/c I never actually had a cookie! If I can make it through today I will be o.k b/c I am off until Fri night and there isn't much junk at home.

Todays workout was PUB/4DS Back and a 5 mile interval run. Nice to have it out of the way!

Linda, I feel the same way about this check-in. I was trying to do it by myself and just tanked every time I tried. There really is something to knowing that you have to tell someone what it is that you are doing, and to surrounding yourself w/ people who have the same goals as you. Support is awesome!

Catherine, what do you do? I may have already asked you but I am very forgetful, so sorry!

It is going to be another gorgeous day here. I think I am going to go ahead and get my dalias in the ground.

Morning Friends,


Okay head is all stuffed up and ready to explode. Anyway this morning cardio was CC #7 workout was 63 minutes, traveled 5.39 miles, average HR 162 and 907 calories burned. Now I am beat!

Eating is still going good, but I seem to be stuck again, which worries me with the countdown still going. I really need to watch everything I put in my mouth from here on out if I am going to make it.

Hello gang!! So far, so good today. Planning IMAX 2 this evening and hopefully some ab work.

Things have been really busy as work lately and that is when I usually check the forums;-)

Catherine, I LOVE Imax 2, expecially the Pina Colada part when I want to give up but the song just gives me that extra boost to get me through it. Have fun with it tonight!

Linda, hope you start feeling better soon. It's amazing how you can still get your intense workouts in even when you're sick. Great job!

Lori, a few cookie edges here and there won't really hurt you ;-) I'm sure you're back on track already! As for your question from yesterday, I totally know what you mean about comparing yourself to other women. I know that we need to be happy with where we are at and recognize all the hard work we are putting in since there will always be someone smaller. It's easier said than done but I think, as least for me, it's more important to do it for yourself and not to gauge your process against another person. We're all different and have different body types and what's attainable by one person may not be by another. At least that's how I try to thing about it, but it is so true that sometimes you just can't help but compare. I think you look great, who cares if those pants where too big or to small ;-)

Missy, how did you like R&C? Fried and inspired I'm sure:) Yes I have been on facebook for a while now and found lots of old school friends on there. The novelty of it sort of wore off for me already but it's still a cool site to keep in touch, share pics etc. There even is a "Cathe Friedrich Fans" group on there!

Yesterday's workout was BM2 double upper body premix and BM2 power circuits. I enjoyed the circuits so much that I think I will do BM2 cardio tonight. Still on track with no sweets but there will be cake at the office this afternoon. Let's see what happens!

Maggie, my dear - my back, triceps and chest are on fire today!!!!!!! My shoulders are pretty burned out, too. I reeaaaaaally like this DVD! I wasn't too thrilled w/ the legs because the segments were too short (I am a glutton for punishment when it comes to my legs), but I don't care because the upper body is killer! And is it just me, or are her inspirational comments on overkill? She has a wonderful little saying for every single segment I noticed! If you believe it, you can achieve it! The first step to reaching your goals is getting started! :p
I joined the Cathe fanclub on Facebook, however... did you notice that her name is misspelled? I didn't notice at first, but when I saw it on my profiled I laughed. I don't know why, but I thought it was funny that a die hard fan didn't spell her name right. That totally could have been me! :+
I haven't done BM2 in a really long time. I think I may pull it out sometime this week!

Coming to confess now....I had cake! So much for no sweets this monthx( I'm starting to realize that I'm not a no-sweets kinda gal. I've gotten it under control and don't indulge in sugar on a regular basis (thanks to all of you ladies!) so I'm not going to beat myself up over the occassional indulgence :7

Missy, yes I noticed that spelling mistake as well, not right away, but you'd think that someone would double check the spelling of the name when starting a fan group, I'm pretty sure I would :p
HAHA, I knew R&C would get you! The upper body part is killer! I like the fact that there is not alot of lower body in it. Told ya that there were lots of cheesy inspirational statements,plus I think she's wearing too much blush! It's a good thing the actual workout is great!

Maggie, when this thread started last year (can not remember who started it, I think Rose or Affirm) we at some point decided that we weren't gonna be the geshtopo. We also decide for us it was enough to cut back on our sugar and that this thread helped us accomplish just that. So, have your cake. Now, just don't eat anymore for a while :+ Seriously though, I think it is important for us all to set our own goals and then help each other with those. Personally, I need to start buckeling down a bit tighter with my eating. But I lack the will power most of the time to do it. Oh well!!
