for the past 2 weeks i have lost all my motivation for early morning workouts (5a.m.)i don't ever sleep well at night and haven't for years but lately i just don't want to be bothered that early. so i'm going to switch to late afternoon. i've come to realize that whether you workout in the morning or in the evening, you have to plan to do it and push yourself to get it done. i've always felt like i get better workouts after i have been up for a while anyway. have any of you ever felt like this?

I hear ya. I'm in my third week of attempting early morning workouts. My body just doesn't have the "oomph" at 5am that it has at 5pm. I also don't have as much time in the morning to get in the long workouts that I am used to getting in. But right now if I don't work out before work, I won't be able to work out at all. So I figure anything is better than nothing.

Imax 2 at 4:30 this morning really wiped me out! I thought I was going to fall asleep driving to work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my issue with morning workouts is usually the length. if i shorten a cardio workout to 30-40mins then i have motivation to go but its longer then i just don't feel like doing it. weight workouts haven't been to much an issue for me as long as i keep them in splits.

if you are able to get a workout in the afternoon then bless you and go for it. by the time i get home finish chores and get viola off the bus i have less time then compared to morning LOL then it would never get done. i usually start a workout by 6am myself after some coffee and maybe a light snack with fruit or a special k bar.
