Newest iPad and TV hook up?

Hi,

does anyone have the newest iPad and has tried to use cables to watch your workouts on a regular TV ( not HD)?

I went to the Apple store for a composite cable ( the kind that you are supposed to get if you have an older TV), and because I have the newer iPad, I also have to get another adapter, because of the smaller connection with the new iPad....It all would come to over $70.....so I opted out, and figure it would be more practical to get a newer TV for my workout area...

Unless there is something available that I am missing?

I have 2 cables (one for new and one for older tv) both do not keep a connection well, the slightest jostle and the connection to tv breaks. Because of this i can't recommend the cables. I'm considering getting apple tv to remove the frustration, once I get over the annoyance at having to give apple more of my money.

Totally agree! This "newest" iPad has a different connector, so none of the previous cables work with it...nice. Now if I want to do the connection to the TV I have to buy 2 overpriced gadgets! I don't think I could cave and give Apple the price of their "TV"..
