I love Cathe step workouts but I would like to incorporate something else into my routine. (To prevent boredom.) Do you know of any good workouts hi/lo, kickbox or dance that I could purchase that are as fun as Cathe step workouts? It has to good music and move quickly.

I am thinking of buying kickmax, so any input on this would be awesome.

I love KickMax. It's fun and divided into 3 (I think?) sections, so you can mix and match as you like. If I remember correctly, it has some pretty good premixes too. Do you have KPC? If not, I would highly recommend that one. I may even like it better than KM.

I've heard some really good things about Powerstrike kickboxing workouts as well. I've never done them myself but everyone here raves about them.

I really like Kickmax too - but I do find some of it to be a little slow and the bursts to be too intense! So, I feel like my heart rate goes from too low for a good cardio workout to too high! But, I do think it is a very effective workout. I think I also saw that some people on the forum liked Amy Bento's new kickbox workout. I've also had my eyes on getting Sherri Jacquelyn's CIA 2603: Criss-Cross Cardio workout. It's supposed to be an intense kickbox workout with an exotic Brazilian influence:)
good luck finding something new!

I have this one (Sherri Jacquelyn's CIA 2603: Criss-Cross Cardio workout) and I really like it. You definitely know you've had a workout after this one!

Maximum Intensity Cardio (MIC; on the same disc as Rhythmic Step and Interval Max); has a 35-minute hi/lo warm-up and cardio section that is very, very good;

The Cross Train Express (CTX) series; two of the five workouts with cardio components have hi/lo, and another (CTX Kickbox) is . . . well, kickbox; the 10-10-10 workout has a kickbox warm-up and brief cardio section;

Cardio Kicks (on the same disc as Circuit Max); good kickbox-inspired floor cardio and a really good power drills segment at the end;

Step Jump Pump (SJP; on the same disc as Step Blast); has a 19-minute hi/lo premix; the SJP workout as produced has 4- to 5-minute hi/lo cardio interspersed with weight circuits;

Boot Camp (on the same disc as Muscle Endurance); all of the eight cardio cycles are floor (no step) and there are cardio only and kickbox only premixes;

Drill Max; two of the cardio segments do incorporate the step but you can always substitute floor cardio moves of choice or skip those segments;

If you're interested in other workout producers, Mindy Mylrea has a 2-workout disc called "DVD Combo", which has two full-blown workouts; one of them, "Action Packed" has a stand-alone hi/lo segment and the other workout "Interval Express" has a 10-minute hi/lo segment; Mindy also has a new release called "Kick Butt Boot Camp" that has a 20- to 25-minute hi/lo segment with med ball (which I happen to like); it also has a kickbox segment that is seriously not very good IMHO.

Amy Bento's Hi/lo Xtreme or Kickbox Xtreme. She does an excellent job choreographing the movement to the music, without being dancy. Very litte TIFTing, and the music is great. Both are over an hour long, but she offers many premixes. The Hi/lo workout has some footage of All Pump Xtreme as a bonus (some premixes include circuits of this). The kickboxing workout has a core workout, plus a heavy bag workout (there's a modifier shown without the bag).

There was some criticism of her form in the kickboxing workout. I've come to overlook it and modify some of the moves to allow for better form. It's totally fun!
