Need Favorite Running Music Suggestions

What's your favorite music to run to? I'm adding running to my rotation and like to run to music. I'm not crazy about itrain because I prefer music, not someone telling me "okay, now increase your incline...." I love all sorts of music; some of my favorites are:

Motely Crue (Kickstart my heart)
AC/DC (Thunderstruck is one of my favorites)
Bee Gees
Some Eminem (Lose Yourself)
ABBA (am I dating myself???)
Body Rockers

Anybody else have some favorites that really get the heart rate going?

Terri, I'm an Un-Runner but I love power-walking to music. Have you checked out fitness music companies like Power Music (www.powermusic.com), Dynamix (don't know the website address; you'll want to Google it), and even Big Beat music which Cathe works with? I'd bet they have a lot of choices of music at a BPM that is appropriate for running either in CD form or (I think) downloadable formats for your MP3 player or iPod.

Just in passing - I guess winter finally arrived here in Minnesota, huh?

I was gonna say eminem but you have it on there already. Try some of his other stuff too.
I love running to Kirk Franklin: Revolution and one of his newer ones i can't think of the name of it now.
I also like some of the old school hip hop.
LOL, my DH laughs when he walks to my IPOD music! He asks me why a 35 yr old woman listens to all this hip hop and rap but to me it is just such a good beat and i LIKE to run to fast music. Speeds me up.
I also like some of Kelly Clarkson's stuff. Oh and that LOVE song by Ashlee Simpon.
Oh I have so much loaded on my IPOD that I could go on and on!

This is funny. Last week I heard a song in a clothing store that I hadn't heard since the 80's or 90's. I loved the song back then and was going to download it, but I had forgotten what it was. One of the songs on these websites triggered my memory. "I was made for loving you" by Kiss. Thanks! It's now downloaded to my ipod.

P.S. Yes, it's beginning to feel like winter here in MN...it's about time!

Seems that the music company that does Cathe's videos just posted that they will be cutting some new tunes you can purchase.

Just a thought . . .

I have my son download some of my "high school" tunes to my Ipod shuffle.

Steely Dan
Fleetwood Mac
Eagles
etc.
then he adds some newer tunes
Pink Floyd
Phil Colins
etc.

I tell him I need a good beat - he has too much fun }(

This is funny, but I just got an mp3 for Christmas and I was poking around on the internet to find some good suggestions for music to workout to, and I discovered this guys site (I suspect he's a metal head)...and he has some great suggestions. I'm more of a folky/adult alternative, but you just don't get the same workout to David Grisman as you do to hard stuff. My search is for hard stuff that is also positive, there's some stuff that I just can't get into if it's just some guy yelling into a mic about how everything sucks. Of course, occcasionally if it has a good beat behind it I'll overlook the negativity, but my hearts desire is to find a really long list of positive stuff. Things I love so far:
Stone Temple Pilots - Wicked garden, Crackerman, Unglued
Primus-Antipop, Laquerhead, My name is mud
Dropkick Murphys - Fightstarter Karaoke, Barroom Heroes
Guns n roses
van halen
eminem
Godsmack - I stand alone, Bad religion
Anthrax - Bring the noise, Room for one more, Among the living
Alien ant farm - Smooth criminal
Fall out boy - Dance, dance
Blur - Song2
Benny Benassi - Satisfaction
Hoobastank - Crawling in the dark
Audioslave - Show me how to live, Shadow of the sun
And, appropriatly Iron Maiden's - The loneliness of the long distance runner
I should give credit to this guys site:

I have a long list on my player and I put it on shuffle and never know what's coming and it definatly gets me pumped and I'll run longer and stronger.
It's such fun, I'm glad you posted this....I don't think I could ever have enough....keep the ideas commin!
