Need craft/ pipe cleaner help

Walmart had small wreaths and trees made from what i thought was a metallic pipe cleaner. When I went to Michaels to buy more I saw that this was not the same thing. The one from Walmart is fluffier that Michaels. Does anyone have an idea what this is?

I think they might call the chenille pipe cleaners. there are the thin ones we typically know as pipe cleaners, and then there are thicker ones. I'm not sure if Michaels has them. You might try Oriental Trading company as well.
