My very 1st Rykas

I think I'm in love. I may take them to bed with me this evening:)
So I need new shoes as I wore out my favorites-til-now, a relatively inexpensive pair of Avia XTrainers that were quite comfy. So off I went to the store and the nice lady tells me GASP!! that they've been discontinued, and pointed me to the replacement model - not comfy!!! I know you all know how tough it is to find the perfect workout shoe - and I thought that was it. I bought a pair of New Balance's (have had luck in the past) they were comfy in the store but about 3 mins into the MIC warm up, my feet had had it. So back I went to the store. There was a pair of Ryka's I hadn't seen before (on sale for $40, too) I tried them on. Took a few bounces and side to sides (I always look like an idiot at the shoe store) and they were sooooooooo comfy. Especially in the front of the foot. So I took them home and gave them the MIC test. They are absolutely wonderful!!!! I've been missing for so long. Light, bouncy, cute, and they don't make my feet look 10 miles long (I'm a size 10). And they ended up being $15 less than the NB's. My feet are so happy!!!!

It's actually a running shoe, which I normally wouldn't use for aerobics, but it seems to have the right cushion I need, it's light, has quite a bit of lateral stability and low treads (I work out on carpet and shoes stick)

Hi Nan,

I got my first pair of Rykas last week, too, and I absolutely love them! I've only worked out in them three times now, but felt the same way as you -- like I wanted to wear them to bed! Of course, the fact that they've been so sweaty after working out probably helped me make the decision to take them off! ;-)
