My friend...

I have this friend who wants to workout...so I think she worked out 3 x's last week or something like that.
Her theroy is...she likes her legs and bum (doesn't want to lose weight there) but as chunky arms and a muffin top:rolleyes:
She was complaining that she was sore the day after she worked out. I asked her what she did and she said she did some step ups, and squats...all LB related.
Two days later..she works out again...and does the same thing! I ask her "Whats up with that"? and she told me that she figured if she dieted and just did lower body she would lose the weight she wanted, while keeping her bottom the size it is now! I thought I was going to die! I said.."so your not doing cardio? And what about your UB...just not going to bother"?
Talking to her is like talking to the wall, she as no intentions of changing her routine up. Although..I don't think she has worked out since. I also told her that she isn't eating enough. IMO its better for her to do cardio and UB and eat more then she is eating now.

Anyway...done giving advice.....some people don't have a clue:eek:

LOL .. Lori .. her w/o could be the reason her LB is slimmer and in the shape she wants it .. LOL ... IA .. sometimes I give up giving exercise advice .. some people have the minds set on a certain way of doing things .. and nothing you can say (no matter how logical) will make them change their minds! :confused:

You are totally on it. People do what they've done because it's worked for them in the past or they just don't have a clue. Has she consulted with a trainer?
 
:)No, she never seen a trainer. I think the year after her mother died she became more active and started running...and lost weight, so Im not sure why she doesn't do that again. I think the "plan" she wants to follow now isn't something that she as ever done before....she just thinks it will work.:rolleyes: Unfortunatly I think we just have the common case of someone who wants to work out, talks about it but never does it. I think she worked out 2 days last week and hasn't touched anything since she as been back to work:confused: says she is to tired! I said, "what would you do if you had a baby"? I get up at 5:30 to worout before work , work till 6:30 and then go home and deal with 2 kids. While my friend goes to bed at 9!:eek: In my dreams!:eek:
