Hi all,

This question may sound a bit crazy but my left bicep is more defined than my right one. If I make a muscle I can see the left but can't see the right one. I think this is because this is my dominant arm although I am right handed. How do I get even biceps?

Thanks,

Jenn;-)

Yeah, and use dumbells rather than barbell so the strong side doesn't assist the weaker one. And, don't be afraid to lift say, 12 pounds with the stronger arm and 15 with the weaker. You don't have to use the same weight on each side.

i notice this when i was working with barbell more. not concentrating made my stronger arm work the barbell.now i try to use more dumbells for arm and shoulder work so i could really focus on getting the arms worked equally. i now use barbell for chest and back b/c i can go heavier and usually don't have a problem with a stronger side taking over. its those smaller muscles i was having trouble with LOL

Thank you for the responses, I will work the weaker one more with a heavier weight and see if that will get my results. I do know at work I favor my left arm over my right so I will try using my right arm more.

Hi Jenn. I am right side dominant in strength and coordination. My right bicep is larger than my left. In fact, all of the muscles on my right side are more developed than my left. I'm always more sore on my right side because I have better form and can go deeper into the muscle. I flail a bit on the left. I may never get equal strength and development on both sides. What I'm doing now is working the left side more in a set than the right. If there's 12 reps, per se, I'll do 6 or 8 on my right and do the full 12 on my left. I don't want to add more reps to the workout because that'll just add on too much additional time to my workouts. I need the extra time to make use of my developed bicep by lifting, oh I don't know what, maybe a spoon that happens to have cookies'n'cream ice cream, hot fudge & peanut butter toppings, whipped cream and a cherry on it. Hey, ya never know so it's best to be prepared. :p

HTH!
