Moment of Truth Mar 7th

Im back!! Its funny how I never want a nap when I am working in the night time.Weird. If I was off all day I would be snoozing away now.

Well, DD's stepmother didn't call so I was a little ticked that I rushed my workout earlier. But I got everything else done that I needed to do.
I went to Wal Mart and when I was in the line, they said they had just marked down 16" spiderman bikes to $20 and they were regular $93...I start piling up the bikes:) I bought 3 for friends, it was such a good deal i couldn't pass it up.People were looking at me a little funny though when I walked out carrying a bike in each hand. They didn't know I was so tough:)

Missy, I love running outside. The first couple of streets I hate but when I get up over that hill...Im good to go.I usually run with someone or I listen to music so the time flies when I run outside.I never find it harder but I know that people who started running on a treadmill complain that is is harder outside.

Lori:)

Lori,

You sound like me with those bikes! I like to see how many bags of groceries I can carry in one hand and make sure some men are looking! ;-) That is an awesome deal though. I don't blame you! That AC/DC shirt I am wearing, I got at Wal Mart for $2! LOL! Well I just finished Imax 2...like someone threw me in a pool or something. Girl, I am not use to sweating so much. If I take my bodyfat measurement tomorrow and it doesn't go down, I am going to be really feeling blue! I must have burned off 3% by the way I feel, but it is a great feeling! Now I will be flying high the rest of the day, who needs drugs? :)

Lori, when I run on the treadmill, I always do it on an incline of at least 2%, and I usually throw some hills in between 3-5% for loeg strength. That way when I run outside it feels easy. :+ I just don't know what I am going to use to entertain me. But I know there is always something. I usually sink into my surroundings: the birds, the sky, the flowers... does that sound weird? I just soak it all in... that probably does sound weird, but that's okay. I like to set myself apart. :p And that is an awesome sale!!! Let them look at you crazy, you will be your friend's kids' new favorite auntie!!! :D

Wendy, how does the rebounder compare to other workouts? How hard would you say that it is? You really seem to be getting a lot of use out of it. I have been giving my treadmill some work for the money I spent on it! DH even used it once, too. :D

Charlotte, I love you too. :* ;)

My beautiful nephew is here, and it is naptime but I can't bring myself to pull him away from the doorstopper! He keeps flicking it and laughing at it, he is so cute!!! I just want to chew him up!!! :7

See you later!

Missy

I feel the same weigh after I run along run.I feel like I should be 20 lbs less...but Im not;)

I never get anyone to help me with my groceries. It hurts my fingers more then my arms. And when I was bringing the bikes out the peddles hitting my legs were the only problem.I don't know how heavy they were, they felt heavy when i had to walk across the parking lot! LOL

I explained this too quickly since I was in a hurry. I cannot explain it like my professor did. She did a fabulous job. She taught at an inner city school in Chicago for years and never once took recess away. This woman is brilliant and her teachings on classroom management are so up to date and informative. I did not realize or even know the slightest bit on this topic until this class. I thought taking recess away was okay. Now I know and have seen what it can do to a child/children. I don't really know what else to say. So, I will say nothing more about it! Obviously, this is a controversial subject and people will either agree or agree to disagree :).

But, we all have to agree on one thing, Missy's little guy sure does look like Dennis....what a cutie pie!!! Does he act like Dennis? That would be toooooo cute! Innocent, but not so innocent all rolled in one! That should be the 2 year old motto....I am only as innocent as I look!!! Gotta love that age.......

What is for dinner??? I still don't know yet......hmmm....

Actually, these 2 articles are the exact oppposite of what I am trying to say :)

I say we agree to disagree and end it on that.

Hey, have you ever heard of St Mary of the Woods college? That is where I go. It is by Terre Haute. They have a wonderful distance learning program. So, I can be a SAHM and get my degree at the same time! I love it!

Again, another reason to agree to disagree :)

A friend of mine is teaching for the 1st time this year. She thinks the state standards are great. She believes the standards give her a great guide for curriculum and lesson planning. Now, my mil (retired teacher), on the other hand, thought the standards and "teaching to the istep test" were ridiculous. Therefore, she was happy for retirement.

I wasn't trying to start an argument, but I read over the posts and I can see how you feel that way. Sorry about that! I guess I don't really know what it is that you are trying to explain, or I just don't get it. I really would like to know more about it, and if you have any websites that can share information I really would be interested in reading them. :)

He IS like Dennis the Menace!!! Because he is so much younger than the other two (there is five years between DS and him and seven years between DD and him!) he is sooooo spoiled! They give him everything he wants and he LOVES to play tricks on them - already! Of all of them, he is the most outgoing and I think he will be the most people oriented. My middle is the most serious (he is sooo much like my brother it isn't even funny, but it is kinda scary!) and my oldest, DD is the most playful, helpful and happy. She is ALWAYS so full of joy and loves to make people feel better. She is just heaven to be around! She is a perfect mix of Dan and I. Dennis (let's call him Dennis ;) ) is just like DH's brother, totally! It is so funny how they can be so different, isn't it? I mean, they all have the same ingredients. :p

I did my run, in awesome time! I did 3.5 miles in 32.5 miles and then did some leg exercises and core. It is funny because my run felt so EASY after that long run Sunday. I love it!

See ya dudettes tomorrow!

Missy

Hmm...missy...you ran 3.5 miles in 32.5 miles? That doesn't make any sense:+ Do you mean minutes, maybe????:) :) :)

When you explained running outside, you made perfect sense! Ilove running outdoors, I watch the traffic, people walking their dogs, Im waving to people...etc...the whole bit. But if I am running with my friend then I am chatting up a storm and I don't notice much else.I love it when we run in the evenings b/c I have so much energy, Im not sure why, probably b/c of all the food Ive eaten that day:eek: :) but the temp is perfect and running comes easy in the night time.We often make out run a little longer just b/c we find it easy.Who would have ever thought running would be easy?:)

My mom is in tomorrow and she wants me to do her hair.I feel bad when she is in and I don't spend anytime with her but when I am working it is hard to do.I don't want to go to walmart for the whole afternoon, I want to get my workout in.So, I am hoping to go for a long run tomorrow, to off set and the chocolate I ate today and I am suppose to do the GS UB's but I just don't know how I will get time.I may have to do it Thursday instead.

Lori:)

Oh my goodness you girls are busy today. I don't have time to read everything. :( But I did see where Missy - you actually think I could do your job? Three kids??? Not in a million years! You are amazing!

Did lower body this morning, lots of walking lunges, squats, deadlifts, leg extensions, lying leg extensions, kneeling hamstring kickback thingies, abs, etc. Tonight I'm going to do 60 minutes on the elliptical. :)

Gotta run my little friends. I miss you!
