HI Ladies,

I can't beleive no one started this yet! And I know you are around:eek: ;) Must you leave everything for me to do????:)

Anyway, I just woke up and I am drinking my coffee, plus getting DD's lunch.
I am not as sore as I thought I was going to be today.My chest is sore and my arms a little but nothing to bad.So, today its a run for me and abs.I am hoping to get a long run in but we will see how far these legs want to carry me.

MORNING, SUNSHINE!!!!

How are ya? Well, you may be alright, but I am SSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOO suffering from DOMS. Severely. I don't know why... I guess adding those extra punches and kicks after doing weights worked my muscles in a whole new way, and it feels gooooood! }(

I think that is a great thread that you started Lori. It is really is. We need to focus on the positive more often, don't we? To take the time to remember what makes life worth living... Great thread. :D

Okay, today I run! I get to do my new toy again! It is only a three mile day since this Sunday is a LONG run. I will throw some abs on top of it, I think. My pecs are sore (I threw in an extra set of 20 pushup in PH) and my lats are pretty fried. My butt, my hammies, all the right places are feeling it today. I love it! But I am soooo tired! I was up until midnight last night and got up at six. I was sitting last night for a friend and she got home late, and when I got home, Dan wanted to spend some time with me since we hadn't seen each other all day. I felt bad because while he was talking to me, I kept spacing out. All I could think aobut was sleep. I felt so bad! So I am going to try to make it up to him tonight. He will come home to a nice long........... back scratch. (what did you think I was going to say, hmmm?) That is his favorite thing in the world.

Well, I am going to get lunch going now. Wonder what I will make..... I need to grocery shopping, so we don't have much of anything right now. DH did a job this morning that has us very set, though, so I will get out tomorrow. Wahoo!

Oh, did I mention already that I have been watching G.I. Jane when I run? Talk about motivating!!! She kicks butt! Reminds me of..... Charlotte! ;)

Hi Missy, There are alot of motivating things to watch when you run.Even watching the olympics is motivating cause everyone is in such good shape! I watched Cinderella man, that was also a good choice b/c when he was in the ring fighting that was motivating.But parts of that movie made me want to cry so crying and trying to breath, are very hard things to do when running! Im not sure what movie DH got for me but its suppose to be a good one. I am aiming for 8 miles today and we will how that goes.May be longer, may be shorter!And abs as well. I have DOMS to so you are not the only one in pain today.

Have you ever seen Million Dollar Baby? Well, don't watch that while you are running. You wanna talk about a snotty mess. That movie is sad. ;(

I like watching the girl kickbutt movies, like T2 and King Arthur. Oooh! And Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. I don't think that I could watch that while I am running, though. There is no way that I could read subtitles! Resident Evil is a pretty cool one, too. It will help keep your heart pumping, that is for sure!

I haven't watched any of the Olympics, sad to say. I did watch the clip on the American snowboarder, though. she was way ahead of the pack, looked back and saw how far ahead she was of everyone so she thought she would showboat a little. Fell on her booty! Man, doesn't that suck? she ate a little bit of humble pie that day. Too bad it had to cost her the gold and be during the Olympics.

Good morning little chickies!!!

Well, I'm back in good ole Wyoming enjoying the wind and the snow all over the place (well, I WILL enjoy it if I keep telling myself that!). A week is a good amount of time to be gone because you're ready to come home. At least I am. Not that I wouldn't want to turn around and go back next week! And we're already talking about our next trip to Mexico. And I'm not ready to go back to work. The next "trip" we will take though is to my Dad's in Washington and that one won't be fun. It will be great to see my Dad, but his wife has Alzheimer's and is really bad. DH is going to help my Dad get a lot of stuff done while I watch his wife. I think we're going in April.

I'm SOOOOOO ready to get back to healthy eating and working out. I ran 4 out of the 7 days we were there. I did a band workout only one day. Oh well. I'm going to start a one body part a day workout and cardio 4 or 5 days a week. I think that will be good with cycling season approaching and I can do legs on Monday or Tuesday so they're ready for the weekend rides with the fast people. What do you guys think of that? The one body part would be numerous exercises and heavy weights. I'm also going back to Body for Life since that works well for me. I plan to be HOT this summer. Hehehe.

I'll post some Mexico pics soon and I'll let you know when I do - either here or on another thread.

Welcome back Susan!!! Can't wait to see the pictures. Oh, Mexico is so much fun, huh? I want to go back too. Yeah, we all want to be HOT this summer! I just got back from my run. I actually took a nap before I went because I wasn't feeling the love to run so I wanted to extra perky. I went for 30 mins and started to feel like I had a ingrown toenail starting so I stopped. I am just going to ride bikes later with DD and her friend too to make up the difference. Glad your back though!

That is a great idea to watch them kind of movies while on your treadmill. Could you imagine watching soaps while on treadmill...I would be in slow motion, but that is just me. When I get mine, I will have to do what your doing and get me some motivating movies to watch.

So where do you have DOMS? I worked out shoulders yesterday, but for some reason have DOMS in my biceps. LOL! WTH? Ever have one of those dumb days??? Ever grab 2 db's thinking they are the same weight and one is heavier and you start thinking your arm with the lighter weight is getting stronger? HE HE! We should all work out together. Be such a riot. I would be kicking everyone while doing KPC cuz I always end up kicking the smith machine behind me or something.

HI Susan! Glad your back.I know understand everything that you said.Your always ready to go home, never ready to go back to work and always waiting for the next vacation! Can't wait to see your pics and your workout plans sound good!

Charlotte, I was thinking the same thing yesterday.I was doing weights and while one arm rested and the other worked, the burn was twice as bad in my right arm b/c I had just finished with barbell curls.So I wondered if my left arm was going to get a good burn going to b/c it had a rest time that my right arm didn't get.Then I wondered what would happen if I used a heavier weight for my dumbbell curls with my left arm.I guess the next time I work out, I will have to do the left arm first.
Oh, I have DOMS in my shoulders, and a little in my back and chest.

Anyway, I just finished my run but my movie isn't over and I need to do abs.I was watching North Country while running and I want to put my arm through the t.v and grab ever man in that movie.What a bunch of idiots! I can only imagine the sexual harrasment that happened years ago!

Must finish my workout and get a shower!

Hi, Ladies!

I have not had much time on the computer today. Busy, busy, busy!! The weather here is pretty nice, so we are trying to play outside. We get soooo sick of being in this house in the winter. I think we are going to grill some steaks for supper. Yum!! My husband and I try to follow the Atkins diet, which doesn't always work.

I usually do my w/o in the morning before my kids wake up, but on Thursday I teach a kickboxing class. No, I am not certified, but a group of us get together and I "guide" them. I used to take a class at a local gym, but the instructor had to quit teaching. I was disappointed and did not want to stop. So, I started a small group of women to have our "class". It is a really good workout. I kind of mix taebo with aerobics. It is different than doing drills and combos. Cathe inspires some of my routines :) I usually have a ton of eneregy for that class. Not sure why...maybe since I do not w/o on Th mornings.

I have to tivo American Idol tonight; I can't miss it! I hope to hear Chris sing again. He is my favorite!

Lori - I'm so glad you understand me. I don't think most people do! So tell me how you liked North Country. We almost rented it today but are going to wait til this weekend since there were a few others we (I) wanted to see.

Charlotte - yes, I have done that before with two different weights. I always feel like such a dork!

I just updated my picturetrail with a Mexico album. I know you wish there were more pics of me in a bikini, but oh well! :)

Susan,I saw your pic'c and they look great.I didn't get to watch all of North Country b/c I ran out of time but like I saw, the men we getting on my nerves! But I guess thats what it was like back in the 80's and she was having such a hard time with everything.I bet it is one of those movies where the women comes out on top! I am hoping to get to watch the rest of it tomorrow but DH may take it back.

Sara, Howdy! Nice to see you checking in again! We have pretty busy lives around here to so there are days where we don't spend as much time chatting.Weekends are usually a write off, not many around.
I work out with a couple of girls off and on to.I ususally have one or two friends who whine about certain body parts and they want help with it.SO they will so Cathe with me for a couple of weeks and then life throws a curve ball and things get thrown to the side.Either that, or Cathe scares them away.Very likely!:) But I don't teach no classes though, we just follow whatever cathe is doing.


Im at work now.I think this is going to be a long night! Ugh!
