Moderately Clean Eating April 4, 2006

Goodmorning all. Yesterday was pretty good for me. Today:

B - same as yesterday
L - same as yesterday
D - Broiled salmon, baked sweet potato, broccali
S - same as yesterday
Hmmm, is there a theme to this menu? Anyway, have a wonderful day-after-Wonderfulday.
 
Ok Robin! You are doing great!

Today I will have Dad here for lunch- Beans & Greens and will try a recipe from Vegan Planet for dinner: Tahini Broccoli Lemon Rotoni. I will use whole wheat pasta.

I'm anxious to try the recipe Carole recommended- Chipolte mash potatoe stuffed potabellas, but need to get portebellas first.

Good Morning Robin & Judy:
Yesterday went pretty good. Here is what I plan to do today:

B - oatmeal, almond milk, 1/2 grapefruit
L - Salad, chicken breast, grapes
S - Protein bar
D - Fish, steamed vegies

I had almond milk for the first time this morning. I loved it! So much better tasting to me than soy milk. Does anyone else use this and it is an ok substitute?

I did a 35 minute jog/walk this morning as well as the first 20 minutes or so of Karen Voight Core & back pilates. I love that DVD, just didn't have time for it all. May have to do it in it's entirety this weekend.
I will also walk about 2 miles at lunch.

Good Tuesday Morning Ladies :D

Day 2 of sunshine!! Yippee-skippee! One of these days I will need to get outside and chop down my raspberries.

B= slice of banana bread, strawberries (very tasty ones I might add!) cheese, and tea.
S=yogurt with fiber one (it is becoming my post workout snack)
L=salad
D=??? (last night was beef roast, potatoes and carrots)

PLB today and some sort of cardio...not sure yet...something I haven't done for awhile though. I have set my rotation aside for now so I can pull out some of the workouts I have that I haven't done for a long time.
 
Morning all!

I don't think I checked in yesterday. The weekend was AWFUL. Just bloody awful. Moving right along....

Today:

B - 2 organic flax waffles with sliced banana and lf yogurt
S - apple and almonds
L - large salad with some sort of protein (probably some tuna)
S - steel cut oats with cinnamon and raisins
D - tortilla w/FF refried beans, salsa and a bit of cheese, and steamed veggies

Workout is Imax 2.

S: kashi bar and coffee
L: chix salad on WW toast, ff yogurt, orange
S: apple
D: 1 c. pasta, sauce, 1/2 c ground venision, 1 pc bread
S: ??????

I'm having stress-related urges to eat bad things that taste really good. So far I've controlled myself, but I don't know how long I can hold out. Yesterday an entire third of our staff were told they will be laid off at the end of June. These are good friends and long-time employees. So far I still have my job, but I honestly have my doubts that the department will survive much longer.

That said, today's plan is kind of bland - leftovers for dinner since I'll be getting home late tonight.

B - lf yogurt, apple, soy milk
S - walnuts and raisins
L - potato soup
S - apple
D - more potato soup
