Moderate eating 2-3-06

Happy Friday, everyone!

I'm not sure if what I'm eating today qualifies as healthy. Maybe I shouldn't post!!

B - PB on wheat bread - 2 slices
S - apple
L - Cheese chowder with barley. The problem here is that the "cheese" is Velveeta. Is that real food? My kind mother gave it to me. I added the barley.
S - walnuts
D - It's Friday. I don't know. I need to eat up some odds and ends in the fridge.

Maybe it's not too bad. The thing that gets me is the Velveeta in the chowder.

Well, Velveeta qualifies as food, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't qualify as "clean":)

Yesterday went very well.

Today:

B - ummmmmmmmmmmmmm... three pieces of 12 grain toast with pb and organic apricots (I was HUNGRY! and two of them were the crust ends)
S - steel cut oats with sliced banana and soy milk
L - a mish mosh of leftover soup and a bit of sushi, plus a lf yogurt
S - whole grain crackers and an apple
D - not sure yet - my SO is home, so he'll probably cook

Workout is a 4 mile run and biceps.
 
Hey Shelley - I know - there's no possible way Velveeta is clean. It's strange stuff. I'll try to behave myself this weekend to make up for it.
 
Don't sweat it Shannon. Sometimes you just have to eat what you have. I noticed, however, that what is in the frig is getting "cleaner" every shopping trip.

B - 2 slices CROWW bread w/pb, fresh fruit salad
L - yummy wrap from yesterday, carrots, tomatos, orange
D - Open faced asparagus sandwich, salad
S - banana w/PB

Yesterday I made an applesauce cake to celebrate Groundhog Day. Had a small piece for dessert and brought the rest to work to fatten up the co-workers.
Today's workout is L & G.
 
Is it ok if I join in this thread? Maybe it will help keep me motivated.

B - 1 cup Kashi go lean & low fat milk
S - cottage cheese and 1/2 pear
L - Grilled chicken salad & 1/2 pear
S - lo carb bagel with almond butter
D - Whatever hubby makes (hoping for Salmon and veggies)

Todays workout for me was 30 minute interval run and Stretch Max.

LOL - of course you can ask. He is not my kitty, just a famous internet kitty. And yes, he is Limecat. I just think he has the most hilarious expression on his face and he makes me smile every time I see him:)
 
Hello everyone. It's been a hectic day returning to normal life after vacation. I did get Circuit Max in today and my butt was draggin after six days of basically no exercise...except 35 miles of walking around Disney parks every day.

B-Oatmeal with tea
S-pistachio's, handful, and cottage cheese
L-One slice whole wheat bread with English cheddar, one green pepper sliced.

Supper tonight will be chicken breasts that I just put in the crock pot with broth, olive oil, rosemary, garlic and a lemon. I'm going to make cabbage, cauliflower and probably green beans to go with it.

I generally do eat more than that sounds but I haven't gotten to the grocery yet today plus I've been too busy to eat.

And about that Velveeta...it is a manmade food product and full of all kinds of bad stuff for your heart. I know, when mom cooks we have to look the other way and eat it even though we know we shouldn't! I have a SIL who makes a chip dip with a whole log of velveeta and hamburger. I won't touch the stuff but my H likes it and he has cholesterol issues and should be running away from junk foods like that.
