Moderate clean eating Mon Feb 13, 2006

Sigh, this weekend was terrible. I've felt like I'm coming down with a cold for about 3 days, and the will power is non-existent. I ate non-stop when I got home from work Sat and Sun. Today, the cold seems to have arrived for good. No workout today, but I hope no appetite too.
B - CROWW bread w/ PB, fruit salad
L - hummus and brown rice wrap, carrots, tomato, apple
D - Pad Thai (if I have the energy to stop at the store on the way home) and broccali
S - nothing, I hope
Hope everyone else is doing better with this.

If it makes you feel any better, I had way too many hersheys kisses last night and handfuls of 'cinnamon toast crunch'. I made my dinner very light and just got too dang hungry later .

Ok today is another day...
B- luna bar and coffee w/ skim milk (while driving DS to school, this was plan B)
S- peanut butter and apple, coffee
L- lentil chili with lotsa' veggies
S- apple or 2 clementines & nonfat latte
D- lemon- caper chicken cutlets big green salad w/ croutons and vinagrette
S- protein pudding or protein smoothie

WO today was SB + step only of SJP

So sorry you're sick Robin! I guess it's the old feed a cold thing.
I had a pretty bad day yesterday and nothing for an excuse! It is my "cheat" day but I did eat even more than I would normally.
I had strawberry shortcake for dessert (I planned on that) and a half a macaroon (I didn't plan on that somehow it just happened lol)

Anyway, here's todays plan:

B - 1 egg & 3 whites, Lo carb toast
S - cottage cheese and mini carrots
L - small piece leftover pork roast, asparagus, 1/2 sweet potato
S - Stallones protein pudding (have you guys tried this?)
D - Whatever hubby makes I'm hoping it's fish but it could be pasta!
If pasta I just eat lots of salad and very little pasta :(

I did an interval run and Stretch max this morning.

Hi, ladies -
Sounds like I fit right into the "bad weekend" pattern. Had to go to a funeral, and things were just kind of scattered, so I ate whatever presented itself, basically.

Today -
B - 1 slice PB toast, 1 c lf yogurt
L - baked potato w/ cheese, orange
S - I have a few walnuts, but I don't know if they'll hold me over...
D - Hopefully veggie/pumpkin soup, if it's thawed by the time I get home. If not.... beats me.
 
Judy - I got it at The Vitamin Shoppe and it's pretty good. It is a canned pudding in a 4 pack. Each serving has 100 calories, 20 gms protein and I think 2 carbs. I had the banana which is really good, the lemon is ok. I still want to try the chocolate but they're always out of it!
Good for lo carb days.

We've been sick at our house too for over a week now. I started with it first, sore throat, massive headache all day, chest congestion/cough...then it moved on to DH. Then last Friday my 5yo woke up with 103 fever, sore throat etc. She was so congested that every time she coughed she brought up phlem so took her to the doctor Saturday and she's on Rx's. Then yesterday 8yo comes down with same stuff. No wonder I've had little appetite lately.

I've been doing one of the hardcore rotation's so you would think I would be hungrier since I'm working out hard every day but I'm not. Today is Imax 3 + a coremax. Last week I had Kickmax, Lowmax and Musclemax my last three days and the sides of my butt are still sore today so I'm thinking it's Kickmax thats really getting that area working again. (I was off all lower body exercise for 6 months, just started back Jan. 1).

B=slice whole wheat toast w/pb, glass of V-8, tea.
S= portion of leftover pork chop after workout.
L= not sure, two kids home sick so lunch will be something like soup I'm sure and I'll probably have a veg. loaded salad with some tuna.
S= cottage cheese with honeydew most likely
D=not planned yet.

Oh, and Dh's birthday is tomorrow so the girls have been planning all morning what kind of cake we will bake. H likes angel food but that is never very popular with kids who want a big chocolate cake with at least three layers!
 
Paula...how many grms of sugar are in that pudding? I like the amount protein that is in it...what is the source of proteins in the ingredients?
 
Well ladies I am VERY proud to say that I had the first completely clean eating weekend in a VERY long time. No pizza, no alcohol, no sugar! Honestly, I don't know how I survived. :7

Anyway, here are today's eats.

B - Post workout protein shake, oatmeal with flaxseed.
S - Cottage cheese, half a protein bar
L - Turkey sandwhich on whole wheat bread, apple
S - Chipotle pepper hummus on whole wheat pita
D - Halibut with broccoli
S - Plain low fat yogurt with strawberries
