Actually, I did not get to try out this forum on the ipad, I keep forgetting. But what is cool is you can take two fingers and push on the pad apart and it will make the spots on the web bigger. Did that make sense?

Yes, I'm resting from STS this week, but only did one of Tracy's so far. Lift higher was great, but I cracked up when she actually said I hope you feel this tomorrow!!! Oh my. Well, I'm pretending to trial prep this week since I have a trial on Thurs....shuffle, shuffle, dance dance....is what I will be doing. No worries at least. I had better get going. Hi babes! Oooh, those pills sound painful Melinda, not gross! And capsules like that don't disolve quickly! Hope all is well now! I'm sorry you are in a workout rut, I'm trying to change things up a bit in the summer. We have been pretty cool so far this year, only one day has gotten above 75. Bet we say in the NW that summer doesn't start until the week after the 4th of July! Last year was a scorcher though so I'm not complaining. DH and I are going bike riding tomorrow evening, we never do that! We are more weekend riders. And good luck with the 5 a.m. airport arrival--that's VERY early my friend!

Yes, I did get up and go to the meetup group at 6:00 a.m. :D I rolled out of bed, ate a protein bar, threw on some clothes and left. Trust me, I was looking my worst! But I really liked it! Probably because it was something different too. There were about 8 women that showed up and amazingly, we were done in about 20 minutes! Definitely got my leg workout and cardio in that short amount of time. Came home and did Cathe's yoga abs and then went on with the day. I'll definitely do it again. And I think the only reason why my legs aren't jello today is because I got a massage yesterday afternoon, whew!

Lita, you are hilarious!! I'm sorry kitty cruely wakes you up every morning! :mad: PLB did not break or crack my a$$ for some reason! The hamstrings didn't like me much though! :p So with the summer, is there any chance you could do an outdoor activity for your workout? I know you walk alot and I know you get up really early too so I don't know how feasible it would be, but I have gotten such a rush from worling out in the great outdoors.

Hi Rhea! Obviously, you have perfected the art of lawyering in court! :) Yes, the expansion on your IPad screen made sense--I can do it on my IPod too. It's great for photos! Enjoy your "rest week"!

The fish oil capsules finally dissolved after drinking quite a bit of hot coffee. They were in those gelatin capsules, so that had to break open.

Went to Chicago Monday. Oh, the traffic! I don't want to go back there any time soon.

I am starting this summer quarter with a chemistry class. Do I know how to have fun or what?! It is organic chemistry, no less! I was good in science, but it has been a long time. I told DH that I think I may irritate the instructor, I've already asked him 3 different things and the quarter just started Monday. I am taking it online and his lectures are video taped. then I go in for the lab work on Sundays, but don't start that until July 11th.

We finally got some cooler temps and it is so nice. Then it will go back to 90 and very humid. We went for a walk last night I had a jacket on!

Back to my STS. I'm on week 3 of meso 1
 
Rhea - Good luck with that trial, but I just know you're gonna whiz through :D! How goes BFFM?

Tracy - I do ride/walk/etc in the morning outside but nothing I would count as a weight/resistance workout. But that's okay - I'm good with that :). It's the cardio that kills my joints. We are hot now so I'm into my "summer routine" of strength training and liking it. I do have to modify because my back is still wonky but that's okay too - keeps me from getting bored :p.

Melinda - Oh how yucky! I never found a fish capsule I could take that didn't (in my mother's quaint words) rift up on me. When I was taking it, I ended up going w/ Carlson's. It's lemon flavored, liquid, and stayed down. It's also got a great reputation for not being rancid (as a lot of capsules/pills are). Isn't it grand to get a break from the heat :cool:?
 
Lita, I usually use flax seed, but have been taking a break from that. OK, this may sound gross to you all, but I feel like I get more gassy in the summer, don't know if it's the heat or what, but I feel very bloated even with the beano. So I am taking a break and doing these capsules. I keep them in the freezer and they are frozen when I swallow them. I do slightly burp them, nothing tastes rancid, just mildly fishy! Not the best thing to taste.
 
Not gross, Melinda - you're among friends :)! I wonder if it's because we tend to eat more gas-inducing foods in the summer? Raw foods tend to be "gassier" in general - and that's pretty much what a lot of people eat in the heat. Believe me, I bloat every day, regardless :rolleyes:. Always have - so don't hold out too many hopes that one day I won't :p!
 
Yep, Lita, I think you're right about that. We're eating a lot more fresh fruits and veggies all with lots of fiber. We got a basket to grill veggies in and now it is so easy. I cut up a bunch of stuff, put a little Italian dressing on it and we grill it. We have a big pile of veggies that way! Grilled mushrooms are very good!

Melinda - I love my veggies but over the years, my digestive tract has become less fond of them, especially the raw ones :rolleyes:.

Happy Holiday, everyone! Despite all of her problems, thank God for this great country, huh :cool:? I couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
