Long shot plea... my finches won't lay eggs!

Any finch lovers/experts out in Catheland? Zebra finches are supposed to be prolific egg-layers. My pair just won't lay eggs. I've supplied them with two cozy nests, nice nesting material, plenty of space in a large cage. The male exhibits courting behavior, and has even lined the nests with the nesting material (so cute to watch!). But no eggs. Could they have defective reproductive systems or something? Any advice here? Thanks!

Hi, I can only guess-I have 2 lovebirds and one is female and one is male-I do not breed them! The female will lay eggs every once in a while as they do not have to "mate" to lay eggs. My guess would be that maybe both are male OR they are not ready yet.
