Hi all

Does anyone own one of these? I don't have room in my basement for a power tower, and my DH has rigged up a pullup/chinup bar, but I am interested in this. I don't feel 100% comfortable with the contraption he rigged up for me(doing neg. for pullups and using the chair), and these may work, but how do you do back work on them? I see alot of chin ups on the website, how about pullups?

TIA

Hi Deanie,

I have a set of these. I like them for doing pushups and pull ups. They come with a very basic dvd that shows some simple and intermediate ways to use them. For pull ups, you just lay on the floor under one of them with knees bent and then raise your torso up and then pull up with your arms. You can also raise one leg to make them harder. Or have one on each side kinda at an angle and lay down and then pull up. I can only do about 10 at a time so far. I like them for lunges too (I am old). You can place one on each side and kind of balance yourself if need be. Of course you can't have weights in you hands at the same time. They also set together very neatly and don't take up much room and easy to move around. I have a doorway gym I bought for P90X and would have to put it in a bedroom doorway and then pause the dvd and run to the bedroom to use it. I find the equalizer easier to use as I can have it in the same room and ready to go in few seconds. I think they are a bit over priced though.

Hope this helps
Susan

Thanks Susan, Its the price that is making me hesitate.:) But they do seem like a good alternative to the power tower.
