Lauramax and Cozmo

lauramax, how is cozmo doing these days? i did a search to see if i missed any updates on his condition since he last visited the vet and they thought they felt a mass around his liver. i was just wondering how it is going for him and for you. again, please forgive me if i am asking a question you already answered. just concerned for both of you.

Smartyjones, it is so sweet of you to remember me & ask! I love this place.

Cosmo seems to be doing better. Truthfully there didn't seem to really be anything wrong with her before--she was & still is a happy dog. The stairs appear to be a little easier for her now, although she does still take them slowly (pausing once in the middle instead of 4 times like before) but hey, she's 16 years old & 90 lbs so I guess I can't expect much more.

So, I haven't noticed a dramatic difference but I have come to the conclusion that whatever the vet thought he felt, if anything, is not a serious health problem.

Thanks again for asking, I am really touched..... :) :) :) :)

i am glad to hear that cozmo is still plugging away. those stairs can be tough. i have a pug that is only 13 and he can no longer even go up and down stairs so cozmo is doing better than gomez. i imagine when cozmo is ready, he will let you know, and he is definitely not ready yet. keep us updated, and give cozmo a big slobbery kiss for me.

Glad to hear she is okay Laura. My Abby is 12 and has been on Metacam for pain in her hips for a while now....while quite pricey it has made all the difference for her. She wil only climb those dreaded stairs once a day, when we all go up to bed.....but she does it.....my three babies wish her well.

Donna

Thanks for the good thoughts guys. Donna, I know, those meds are really expensive. I wasn't expecting it b/c she's on thyroid meds too which are really cheap. So it's another $65 I have to add on to my monthly expenses. x(

But she's worth it. :)
