Knee issues

Hello!

I am starting to have issues with my knees when I do high impact exercise. I can only do Low Max and LIC so many times before I start to get bored. I can handle one high impact workout a week. Does anyone know of any other instructors that have DVDS that are low impact (I know that no one is as good as CATHE)and are comparable to the intensity of Cathe?

Hi Denise,

Do you have access to any low impact cardio equipment like an elliptical or stationary bike? If you do, the iTrain and Cardio Coach audio workouts might be worth a try. I find that I'm able to reach a Cathe-like intensity with those.

I was going to mention exactly what Gayle suggested :) . I have found that I really can't do aerobic workouts at home anymore even if they are low impact because of the twisting and pivoting (very bad for my knees). The elliptical, treadmill, and bike are my saving grace. They don't aggravate my knees at all and I can workout at a very high intensity. The mp3 workouts make it way less boring too. Also, spinning classes are another good alternative. Most of these classes are pretty intense and you can reach Cathe-like intensity with them.
