Okay, I did it! I am not sure if I did it right, but I did it!
Warm up, 4 1/2 rounds for 10 minutes (those pumps take forever!)
Swings 30 seconds work/30 second rests, 12 minutes
***I did 35# for the first 6 rounds then my forearms were SIZZLING so I backed down to a 25#, and alternated between the two kbs for the rest of the workout. I NEED TO WORK ON MY FOREARMS!
***Got 21 swings in each round for a total of 252 swings
***The swings weren't a great cardio challenge (like they were when I first started), but it was definitely a mental challenge: I have NEVER done that many swings before, let alone doing them all in a row!!!
Also: Did 10 minutes of Cindy afterwards, 7 rounds plus 5 pull ups and 10 push ups - needed the chair for assistance after 4 rounds of pull ups
Did I do it right? It felt funny not doing the ETK workbook as rx'd, though I understand that those exercises are to build up your endurance, which I definitely have (except for in the forearms ;]). It was a challenge, that's for sure - my booty was feeling nice and tight by the end! I was able to keep good form, just thought I might accidentally let go of the kb a few times.
Deanie, question: do you think it would be alright for me to do a workout in the morning, and then do TGUs seperately in the afternoon? I was thinking of running in the a.m.
I can't believe how heavy of a bell you used

You give me something to aspire to!

I saw your blog but don't know how to be a follower (I am the oldest, and therefore a natural born leader... get it? okay, that was stupid

) but I will figure it out. I have a blogspot, too, I just haven't done anything with it.
How was your first day back??? I called DH today to cheer him on; he took most of the break off, and it was hard for him to go back in today. I am making a steak dinner for him tonight, with potatoes and squash - his favorite fixings.
Gayle, have fun skiing!!! Are you very good?
Jane, WOW that's cold for you neck of the woods isn't it? Do you have a winter coat?
Rhonda, oooh, surprises and spontenaity! I can't wait to hear what you did tonight.

Have you gone back to work yet? Are the kids crazy???
Gotta run and start my steak dinner. Sometimes I feel like I do a louzy job as wife and mother, but tonight I am so gonna rock!

See you later
Melissa
