Good Morning!!

Jane::: I hope you had a blast at your race today!!

Gayle::: (hippie chick;)) How was the 603's deadlift/burpee pukefest? Did you get your Birkenstocks? LOL

I slept late today, but I was still tired when I started my workout, so I dropped my weight for the snatches. They looked very purty today;)
Here's my workout:

warm up:
2 minutes of swings:
30 seconds 2 handed, 30 seconds h2h

SIM

bb get up sit up 35#: 4:)
total pushups: 69 + 5 explosive pushups on knees
15 seconds rest between exercises

added:
**pullups: 9! up 1 from last time
** swings with Bertha:
30 seconds on/ 30 seconds off:
12 minutes:D: 21 swings per 30 seconds

NOTES:
* good workout, getting a little bored with SIM this week glad to move on to resolution next week
* REALLY HAPPY with my swings with Bertha! I think the fact I had extra time and was able to rest 5 minutes after SIM helped a lot!
*would like to try to add swings with bertha to resolution, just resolution wears me out....we'll see
=======================================
Since Yom Kippur is on Monday, I will be doing Resolution tomorrow and taking Monday off. I think I will try Resolution with box jumps tomorrow, since I won't have to worry about waking anyone up:) ...excited about that!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi Everyone!

I completed the 5K race this morning. It was the HARDEST 5K race I have ever done. It was extremely hilly with lots of steep hills. The course was beautiful though. There were sections that were lined with big oak trees that were dripping with Spanish Moss. We ran up a big grassy hill and ran by horses. My sister was running and a large deer ran across the trail about 10 feet in front of her. When I got done, I was told the we ran the wrong way (everyone did) and it ended up being longer than a 5K. I'm thinking it was somewhere around 3.8 miles based on my time.

I also managed to get in a hour swim this afternoon. It's still hot and sunny here so I thought why not.

Deanie ~ Good job with Bertha. Have fun with the box jumps tomorrow! I love box jumps!

Waves hi to the rest of the gang!!

Making up for lost time

Last night I went to striking class at KM. We did 12- 2 minute drils, 12 1 minute drills and then the last set was 12- 30 second drills, no break. I was spent! All drills were done with the standup bags. Kicking, punching, and squats.

This morning I went to Strong Fit class. It is like Crossfit but they don't have the certification, so they can't call it that. More drills that consisted of pull ups (fail), pushups, wall balls, crab walks, jogging, etc. I was spent again. Then I went to KM class.

I am feeling good- thanks everyone for the well wishes.

Marcy- Doesn't it feel good to get a good report from the doc?

Hippie Chick- Don't worry about PTTP, you get your workouts in other forms. 60's day is on Tuesday at school. Any suggestions?

Deanie- Great workout this morning.

Jane- Your run sounded beautiful. Glad you could get out and enjoy the scenery.

Forever 39- You will get results with KB's but if cost is a factor, you might want to look into Crossfit type exercises.

Have a great weekend.

Jane:::I hope you are taking a day off today!! Sounds like a grueling day yesterday; race and swim!! Good for you for completing the race!!

Rhonda::: I am exhausted just reading your workouts lately!!!

waves to everyone else!!

No workout for me today because a) I'm sore and b) I am a procrastinator and I have to work on a presentation that is due tomorrow.

Deanie- Your workouts always exhaust me! I start reading the poundage you move and my head starts swimming :). I just read up on Yom Kippur because I didn't know too much about it. May your tomorrow be reflective and meaningful.

Deanie ~ Great job on the workout today!!

Rhonda ~ Your striking class from the other day sounds like fun. I'm so glad you are feeling better.

I ran 4 miles this morning and then went over to see dad. He thought I was "Peter". Not sure who Peter is. I was going to come home and do weights but too tired.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday evening!!
