back again:)

Jane:
I hope everything is okay with your mom!!! Did you get your run in? I'm sure it helped with the stress.

Melissa:
hope you got a workout in!

Marcy: how was the first night of 2 step!!??

Rhonda:
Good job on DM and subbing swings! I like DM cardio, but not drill 3!!! that one seems to go on ffffooorrevvveeerr!!!LOL. Yes, you missed the Bar Mitzvah and it was great. My DS was phenomenal!!! no mistakes and very confident!! the celebration after wards was wonderful. Even though we live a mile from the synagogue, I was able to get a hummer limo for him and his friends as a surprise!!! He was surprised and really excited!!!(a parent of a student of mine owns a limo company and gave me a really good price!!!) I still can't figure out how to post the pictures and my DS13 who is usually a whiz at it, got frustrated, so no pictures:mad:....yet!!:D

waves to Gayle who is hopefully skiing!!!:):)

Have a great Wednesday everyone!!

Deanie, I was just wondering if you jump rope on carpet - that always trips me up. And what is a white jump rope? How is it different from others? Great time, btw! Holy smokes!!!

How fun for DS: a hummer limo!!! I bet he was so super-duper excited!!! I have no idea how to post pictures here, but you can go to a site like picturetrail.com for free and upload some photos then provide a link - that is what I would do. I am totally computer illiterate, even though DH makes a living as a computer genius. He gets frustrated with me, too, but he really gets excited with I used computer terms like "end task", "RAM", "back-up hard drive" and "motherboard"...like I know what they are. I just say it to see him happy. ;):p:D

Rhonda, BBC = Barry's Bootcamp, Rich is the trainer from the Chest and Abs section. Here is a clip, CHECK OUT THE EYES!!! He has an unusual amount of white. http://www.beyou.tv/videos/Barrys-Bootcamp-Chest-and-Abs-Cardio
I felt like I missed a lot when I was out for... whenever that was. See? I already forget and am back in the "swing" of things. ;) :p

Jane, how are you feeling today? Sorry about your mom's back. I am sending you much prayer and hugs!!! My parents feel the same way about funerals as your parents do (even though I really don't want to even think about it). That really makes it much easier, I think - and I actually had a great grandma who refused to have a funeral for her husband because she didn't want to "torture" any of us, and she didn't want a funeral director to "rob" her in her pain of what money she had left, lol. It was actually pretty nice! We got together, remembered him, then moved on. That's what I wanna do.

Gayle, can't wait to hear if you were able to get skiing in! :)

Marcy, how's it going!? How was class?

Well, I didn't work out yesterday because I was super, super, super tired - I actually was in bed before 8:30 - and even had to ask DH to bring something home for dinner because I could not move. I am feeling much better today, though. I have Newport planned - and that's one I haven't done in AGES! I am looking forward to it.

Question: do you speak/understand/able to translate a second language? Just something to talk about since DS is having to think about that now. I took Spanish for 6 years, German for 3, and have studied Latin on my own. So far, German is the ugliest. ;) I think it would be so cool to be able to speak another language fluently. :)

See you guys later. :)

Melissa

Melissa: Great idea with the picture trail thing. We do shutterfly, maybe they have the same thing. I will ask my DS about it when he gets home! thanks:) Yes, I jump rope on carpet, but I always do since I don't wear sneakers and I'm usually fine....maybe I was just extra tired this morning? the white jumprope is a heavier jumprope I have, its manilla rope I think, and its about 2-3#. I impressed myself and was able to go the whole 3 minutes without stopping:p, I was going at a much slower pace though since the rope was heavy..... I only speak one language. I also took spanish for 6 years, and hebrew from 5-13 years old. spanish I remember a little, and more comes back as my ds is taking it in school. Hebrew I can read, but can't translate, though I work with someone from Israel and she sometimes throws some hebrew at me. but all in all, I'm a one language gal. I also think it would be cool to be fluent in 2 languages.

Have fun with Newport, that's a smoker!!!;):p

Off to work................

Hi Everyone!

My run last night was great. It was only 30 minutes but I felt great and the weather was beautiful. There was a fiery orange/red sunset! Beautiful!!

My mom is better today, actually as of yesterday at noon she has been pain free. Yay!!

Tonight I going straight to my parent's house so I will be doing the following workout. If I feel like it/have time I'll add on some more swings or some other stuff.

100 sit ups
100 push ups
100 squats
100 swings

Deanie ~ I can't do double unders either. Your sub for them was good!

Melissa ~ Yay for your great grandmother. When my aunt passed away she didn't want a service either. She just wanted people to sit around and say nice things about her. So on her birthday (about a month after she passed) we had a celebration for her with family and friends. We ordered a Teddy Bear cake (she collected them) and just had fun talking about her.

I do not speak any other languages although I took 4 years of Spanish in high school and was actually going to major in that in college. I was much better reading it then speaking it.

Marcy ~ How was the 2-step class? It sounds like fun!!

Rhonda ~ I love Drill Max. Drill #5 is my least favorite drill. I often sub swings for that drill. Study hard!! You are almost done! YAY!!

Waves hello to Gayle on the ski slopes!!

Que Pasa Amigas?

Hola!

I did KPC this morning. I burned 550 calories. I am serious about losing weight. In the past my training has been completely random. I was happy to just be moving. Goal until February is 3 days cardio like KPC or Low Max, 2 days of KB like Providence and 1 day of Drill Max. I haven't been to KM in a few weeks but I will start back once school is over. I am not journaling food but just trying not to mindlessly eat. This is going to be really hard because people will start bringing holiday goodies.

My strategy is to look at every goodie as being touched by unwashed hands, licked by a roach and dropped on the floor. Of course I won't always do this, but it will help.

Deanie- I am glad the event went off without a hitch. Sounds like he enjoyed it. Great workout this morning. I watched Buddy Lee. I am so uncoordinated though. How is your definition coming? Are you more cut?

Melissa- I have to look at the link at home. It is blocked at work. I am on lunch break now. Have fun with Newport. I can understand and read Spanish. I speak it a litle, but it takes awhile. I did an immersion program a few summers ago. I may do it again this summer.

Jane-Glad you had a good run yesterday and glad mama is doing better. Thanks. I am going to try to study hard but the ADD and the fact that I am burning out is getting in the way. Gotta keep going.

Waves to Marcy and I hope Gayle is having fun!

Rhonda

Good Afternoon!

I did Physique 57 Classic today. I forgot to look at my notes from last time and only used 5s and 3s for upper body instead of 8s and 5s and burned 51 calories less. It still felt like I was working though.

Two-step last night was great. Lots of spins!

Deanie - I'll be waiting for your video of you jumping rope like Buddy! Wow! Amy Bento does something similar to double unders in Kickbox Surge which I'm able to do but without a rope.

Melissa - I actually have Chest & Abs from BBC but haven't done it yet. I think I've had it for over a year. I was waiting to acquire the set but only got 2 out of the 5 and the cardio scared me away.

I took Spanish for 3 years and Hebrew for 3 years. Spanish is easier. DH took German but I don't think it lasted very long. I can read and translate Spanish. I can read Hebrew but can't translate.

Rhonda - Great job with KPC! Drill #5 from DM is my least favorite as well. I actually like Drill #3 - probably my favorite. Good luck with the weight loss! I am definitely not burning 500 day - more like 300-350 but with dance class it's probably 500. Good luck on your tests this week!

Jane - Glad to hear your mom's back is better. Have a great workout tonight!

Waves to Gayle!

Marcy

Marcy- Thanks. Off to see what Physique 57 is. Glad you had fun at two step. Is DH going with you?

Melissa- I watched the clip. Put it like this, if he and I were in a room together and he offered me some Koolaid, I would'nt drink it.
