Kettlebell Rotations

I started playing around with kettlebells a few months ago then I did Chalean Extreme for a while and now I'm ready to get serious with kettlebells. I have the Lauren Brooks DVD along with KB Way Vol I, they say to do KB Way twice a week, but what am I supposed to do the other days? Does anyone have a kettlebell rotation they could share? I did visit the AoS forum but I didn't see anything for me. I was thinking of doing the KB Way twice a week and doing cardio/yoga/pilates the other days, however with my current KB DVDs it seems that I'm getting a great lower body workout but not a very intense upper body workout. Do any of you mix weights and KBs?

I find when I do Heart rate, I'm in the 85 percent zone in most of the intervals in KBway 1&2...so my other two days are weights like muscle max, or something off of 4day split, or Kelly's NYC workout...and usually a day with Squeeze Stronger or TA Mat(oops, did I say that?!)....

So you do two days kettlebells and two days traditional weights? Do you do cardio as well? I'll be interested in more replies as I'm looking for some sort of rotation. I think I've been doing kettlebell's 3 times a week with 2 to 3 cardio's and using Lauren Brooks workout I feel completely worked. My arms don't feel as worked during the workout but they do later.

I'm counting the Kbs as cardio (hiit but 40 minutes worth),and then a vigorous weight workout like NYC,or Jari, or a Cathe....the 5th day, is after my 13 hour work day so if I do anything it will be a core workout, walk the dogs a mile or two, or a Tracy Anderson or part of squeeze...Actually, lately I've been doing KB Way 3 times a week, with strength or Squeeze stronger the other two....I also teach hot yoga for 75 minutes once, sometimes twice a week, and walk the dogs most days too...But I'd never go back to Cathe's old cardio -those hour long things got to be so tedious and not necessary to results -which I think Cathe agrees to judging by her workouts over the past 5 years!

I count my kettlebell workouts as circuit workouts. So 2 days a week I do kettlebell (circuit) workouts, 3 days I run and I do 1 day as a traditional weight workout.

I don't really do dvds anymore for my kettlebell workouts. I usually make them up or do crossfit style workouts that include kettlebells. Every so often I will do a dvd.

It's really like any other rotation - what are you looking to accomplish?

I'm gearing up for a 100 mile bike ride, so I'm using kettlebells as mainly a way to up my endurance. So, I do 3 25-55 minute workouts a week with the bells and traditional weights (I, too, do more Cross fit workouts - I like variety you can get). If I am doing a 25 minute workout, then I follow up with HIIT on my bike. Like Jane, I don't train to videos that often any more as I like variety. I'm also doing a 200 swing a day challenge. I fit those in as I can.
