Rhonda: your cousins wedding sounds nice, on the beach. Hope the first day of school for you went well.

Jane: I would take a rest day too, after running 4 miles!! Hope it was a good one

Marcy: great job on the pullups/chinups. how are you enjoying this rotation.

I got my dress from Nordstroms yesterday. both DH and DS9 thought the dress was okay, nothing special. So I am going to return it. I found something on the Ann Taylor website I think would be good, so I called the store and they are holding it till Friday. Hopefully it will work. I am not a shopper!

*good workout today. most weights are back to what they were before I hurt my back.
*3rd round: did 13 half snatches on my right side in 45 seconds!
*wanted to swing Bertha (30 on/ 30 off) but ran out of time.

Deanie - Nice workout! WTG on the 35# get up sit up. Glad your back is feeling back to normal. I feel your pain about shopping for dress clothes. Hope the Ann Taylor outfit works out. Is there a picture??

I've got more homework tonight. I need to get another coat of paint on the ceiling in prep for our electrician to come in on Friday and hook up our lights and outlets. If I get it done early enough, I might do some kettlebell work.

Good Afternoon!

Quads are still really sore so I figured I'd stand on my head this morning. I did Erich Schiffmann's inversions. There was a 10-minute headstand sequence and a 10-minute shoulderstand sequence. I held my first headstand for a good 10 seconds and then there were some lame attempts after that. Did much better with shoulderstand. Feel nice and stretched out.

Deanie - Sorry the dress didn't work out. Hope you have better luck with Ann Taylor. Great workout today! Nice to see your weights are back up to where they were before you hurt your back.

Jane - I think Melissa plans on coming back sometime in October. Have fun with Insanity!

Gayle - Sounds like the "home" work is going well. Hope you get to do some kettlebells tonight.

Rhonda - How was your first day of school?

Gayle::: I hope your homework goes well and you get some kettlebell work in tonight. I don't mind painting, but I HATE painting ceilings!!!! I did it once, and never again!!!LOL

Jane:::Have fun doing insanity. I saw my first info-mercial about it this weekend! Looks like an intense workout!!

Marcy::: WTG with the headstand!! I hope your quads are feeling better now that you've stretched! For me, I find if I walk or stand alot on the days I worked my legs only, I wouldn't get sore

Here is a picture of the dress I am hoping will work for me. the salesgirl put it on hold for me and I am hoping to pick it up tomorrow afternoon, since DH has said he is off tomorrow. I like the shoes too (the ones the model is wearing), and I just may get them although they are more expensive than the dress....but I really like them!!!!

Deanie - I like the dress. Hopefully, DH & DS will like it too. I think it would look great on you! Unfortunately, I don't get much of a chance to walk around too much during the day but I get up as much as possible. Tonight is swing class. Maybe that will do the trick! I'm not much for leopard prints, but the shoes do spice up the dress nicely.

hi Marcy, thanks I hope they like the dress too! I love fun shoes, mostly because I'm usually in jeans and a tee shirt (or something I don't care about if it gets paint or runny noses on it!)
Your job is opposite of mine, I rarely get to sit down!!(and I'm out in the hot sun for 30 min in the morning for recess!!- but that's not a complaint!!LOL) by the time I get home, all I want to do - is sit!!

Have fun at Swing class!! Is that like the Charleston or 40's swing?

Deanie - Yeah, kind of like 40s swing, jitterbug, etc. They call it East Coast Swing now as opposed to West Coast Swing (only about 20 years old) which is a slower, bluesy, sexy version of swing.

Hi cyberbuds!

My first day of school went well. The downside is that it is an hour and 5 minute drive from my house. In addition to that it was freezing in there. I swear I am going to buy a Snuggie. I don't care if I look like a lost cult member either. I will look crazy but I will be warm. No exercise today because I have to unpack and clean. Hopefully I get to workout tomorrow.

Deanie- I like the new dress better. I would definitely go with some shoes that have a pop of color. After all it's a Bar Mitzvah, not a funeral. Jazz it up girl! WTG on your workout.

Gayle- Hope your painting session goes well. I am looking forward ( and I know you are too) to seeing the completed project.
