Good morning!

Yesterday was a VERY hecktic day!! I worked till noon, came home ate, went to the elementary school, picked up my ds9, went to the middle school, drove 6 boys to the softball game they were playing at another school, the game went long (and they lost 21-7!!!) drove home, in traffic! yuck! dropped off ds9 late for hebrew school, dropped off 4 other boys from the game, came home made dinner, had ds13 do his homework , he ate, picked up ds9 from hebrew, took him home, 15 min. later turned around and had to take ds 13 to upper school (a social/learning thing for older kids at the synagogue) had dinner with ds9, he did his homework, showered, then at 9 had to go pick up ds13!!! luckily the synagogue is only 1 mile from my house.... Man what a day! of course DH was working all day and didn't get home till 10pm, but I was asleep by then!!!LOL
Happily, today I only have ds9's soccer practice and mahjong for me!:)

Gayle::: What did you end up doing last night?.....at the gym;)

Jane::: LOL at your moms expression, I may borrow that!

Marcy::: What did you decide, bolero or fox trot?

Rhonda::: How was KM class?

Did Resolution II today, using the 35# bell. I was able to get thru 7 sets, but had to push alot of the c&p ladders:mad: so not sure how I am going to work the rest of resolution II for Saturday. I really didn't have a lot of energy this morning, and probably should have slept in, so I'm hoping that's why I had a hard time today. On the flip side, I had planned on 5 sets and ended up doing 7, and my dl's looked good, so there were some positives...
Here's my workout from my blog:

Resolution II
beginner level
Goal: complete 5 sets in 30 minutes

1 minute rest between all sets
completed workout in 26:03 minutes (7 sets)

warm up: 2 minutes swings 20#kb and some c&p with the 20# bell
c&p: 35# (16kg)
pullups: as prescribed
deadlifts: (starting with 70% of 1 rm; adding 5# each round thru round 5 as per the workout)
5@ 115#
4@ 120#
3@125#
2@ 130#
1@ 135#
1@ 135#
2@135# (not sure if typo or not, but did 2 anyway)

moved 8,108# today

NOTES:
* raised weights from 30 to 35# for c&p for beginner level (tried it with intermediate level, was to much, so went back to beginner)
*push pressed a lot of ladders:mad:, I think yesterdays workout wore me out more than I realized
*was supposed to only do 5 sets, ended up doing 7 :)
*would like to raise my deadlift weights, but will concentrate on the c&p @ 35# and getting that right first.

GOAL:
**to be able to C&P the 35#kb for all of the ladders. (will continue with beginner level until I can)

==========================

waves to everyone!
Have a great day:):)

Good morning!

Deanie - That was one busy day! No wonder you were tired. You still got a rockin' workout in anyway. Great deadlift work. Great job on the presses. I tried to do straight presses last night on Providence with 26# and had to push-press a lot of them. 30# and 35# is impressive!

Waves to Jane, Rhonda, Marcy and Melissa!

I did Providence last night, but skipped the snatch challenge and subbed jumping pullups for the bent rows. It felt good to revisit that workout, I should do it more. I'm going to the gym tonight. Since CF 603 stopped posting WODs I started checking out Coach Rutherford's CF Kansas City site. They have a big strength focus to their WODs. I may pick something from there.

Have a great day!

Hi Everyone!

Deanie ~ I was tired just reading your post about yesterday. Wow. It's great that got up and worked out this morning. Good for you!! Clean and Press with 35#!!! I can do presses with my 25# but like Gayle, some of them end up being push presses.

Gayle ~ I haven't done Providence in a long time. I sometimes do that workout outside. It seems harder without Anthony leading the way.

Here is my workout for today. It's basically everything thrown into one workout. I'm looking forward to my workout today because the weather has been so beautiful!

WOD
50 Box jumps
50 Jumping pull-ups
50 Kettlebell swings
Walking Lunge, 50 steps each leg
50 Weighted Sit ups
50 Push press double armed or 25/25
50 Squats
50 Slam Ball
50 Burpees or Squat Thrusts
150 Jump Rope

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Hi all

Was looking forward to working out yesterday but I forgot a key component. I live too far away from class to have gone home so I went home and ate pizza:p.

I made sure all clothes were packed so I am on tap to go tonight.

Deanie- I was just tired from reading about your day. I surely would have forgotten who was where. Some DS would have been calling me to come pick them up.

Jane- I have thought of doing Providence outside. Now that the weather is nicer that might be an idea.

Gayle- Have fun at the gym tonight.

Marcy- You asked about the Singulair. I actually took it for 3 days and forgot to keep taking it. I woke up this morning at 2 and remembered. I really am the type who gets affected by weather changes. A storm was blowing in yesterday and I could really feel it affecting my breathing.

Waves to all.

Good Afternoon!

I was planning on doing a long yoga session today but I didn't want to get out of bed so I would up doing Petra Kolber's Elegant Strength. This was the first time doing it. I was hoping it would be like Kari Anderson's Reach. It was good for a light day but not as advanced as I would have liked. Although it did have some good balance moves, ballet, a little bit of yoga with weights and some slow pushups.

Deanie - I decided on bolero. I was getting tired just reading your schedule yesterday! Good luck at Mah Jongg tonight! 5 to 7 ladders is great! I think you just need a little more rest (especially after all of yesterday's chauffering!)

Gayle - You're making me think of dragging out Providence again.

Jane - Looks like a great workout! Have fun!

Rhonda - Hope you enjoyed your pizza! I also get affected by weather changes. I'm hoping I get through the winter without any problems. I've actually been skipping a dose here and there when my peak flow goes above 500. Do you have a peak flow meter? When I wasn't doing so good, some days I couldn't get out of the 200s so things have really improved.

Waves to Melissa (hope you come back soon!)

Marcy

Hello friends!!!

How is everyone? It is so good to come back and read your posts and see that everything is the same. :)

Gayle, do you know why 603 stopped posting WODs? I hope it doesn't become a trend because I love crossfit!!! For Providence I usually sub pull-ups in too :) Great minds think alike.

Deanie, your day looks miserable similar to my own. ;) DD's last meet is Saturday and the boys only have a few games left, so we are almost done. It is a little sad to see it all end, though. DD has really improved her time and DS has really gotten good at footwork in soccer. He is still slow as a turtle, but he did pick up some moves. :p We have had a great time. So, can you read Hebrew? One of my friends is teach himself so that he can literally translate the bible himself, but when I looked at it all I saw was organized, pretty scribble. :D I hope you enjoyed your "rest" day as far as mommying goes.

Jane, has the weather cooled off a bit? We are in the 50's here. I can't complain because the trees are becoming so beautiful!!! Killer workout, BTW!

Rhonda, I love pizza. I shouldn't eat it anymore because the cheese... well, I will just say lactose intolerance. It isn't pretty. I have to decide which is worth it more at the moment: forgoing a few thousand calories and making myself suffer while watching everyone else eat the yummy goodness or give in to my taste buds and spend the next 36ish hours bent over in waves of painful bloating and other gross stuff. Notice I said I "shouldn't" eat it and not that I don't. ;)

Marcy, I did Petra Kolber when she was with Reebok - I think it was her Dance Step I had, or something like that. It was a fun routine and I really liked her personality. I also had Kari Anderson... something step. It was over a decade ago... over a decade ago... wow, a decade ago I thought that people who measured times of their life with anything more than months was old and I just said decade. Dang it!

Well, I am hopping back on the workout wagon. My eating hasn't been that bad, but I missed working out. I did Diva on Tuesday and Janis Saffell's Hardcore Kickbox + 600 skipping ropes yesterday, so today every single square inch of my body is sore. I can't tell you how delighted I am!!! I have missed working out thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much. Today I have been doing Clean Max, and I am taking bets if anyone wants to go in on how long you think my house will stay clean. My husband is off work tomorrow so that will shorten the time considerably. What else is going on... oh, youngest DS is really decoding words and reading now :)D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D) and I have learned that I have the greatest DH in the world. No particular thing he did, but when you go to sporting events and spend consistent and prolonged time with other couples outside of your normal circle and see how they interact I am reminded at how incredibly blessed I am... my husband is amazing! He is hard headed and stubborn, but he loves me so much and is so respectful to me and my opinions and would do anything for me, and in our 12 1/2 years of marriage I have never caught him checking out other women. I am lucky. :)

Okay, you guys can keep your dinners down: Gush time is over now.

I just got Lauren Brooks DVD and I think I may do that or Providence tomorrow. I don't want to get that sore, so I will probably do Lauren Brooks. I noticed on the preview of her DVD that she doesn't do snatches and I am used to seeing them everywhere... anyone know why?

See you tomorrow!!!

Melissa
