NOTES:
**
good workout, raised my weights and felt okay with that...still very concerned about hurting my back again...basically worried about putting any real weight on the dl....thinking of wrapping up pttp this weekend and starting ETK fresh maybe testing my 1rm for the press and dl on a variety day....just too worried about my back and doing ETK correctly and don't want to have my concentration broken.
**will continue with the deadlift maintaining my form and strength thru out etk...

==================================================

okay, after posting this about an hour ago, I've been thinking about what to do. (you know how anal I am) so, I am making this my last week of PTTP (which I LOVED and will do again) and will start ETK 100% invested on the 4th.
I just feel that with my back, even though its good, I'm worried about adding on weight and hurting it again. I want to put some distance between my back and heavy dl's. I also feel that since I'm at 145# for the dl, it will take me about 3-4 weeks to do it right (very important ) for me to build up to where I was.....
I still think I will/may???? test for a new 1RM with the press and dl on my variety day next week, and call it quits with PTTP. I WILL be doing PTTP again, and with the new form pointers and a lower weight to practice with, I think that makes more sense at this point for me.

To say I am disappointed that I didn't complete a full 12 weeks is an understatement, since I was doing so well, but I have gained strength and conditioning in so many other aspects that I still feel I gained from the program.
gains: heavier TGU, heavier snatch, faster sprint speed on the tm
lesson learned: when you hit a pr, start a new cycle at a lower weight - important!
I think the lesson learned would have helped me to complete week 12. I should have dropped the weight and started back up again, no biggie, since I did learn from it, and was able to put Melissa Urbans tips (invaluable) into practice, so even that turned out well

Okay, that's my rambling for the day:eek:;)
we are off to enjoy family day!!!

Have a great Friday and a Happy New Years Day gals!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I hope that everyone had a great night last night!

Gayle, that is from NJCF! I did it last month after Thanksgiving, and it really revved me up. Have fun with your new toys! What a way to start the year!!! :D

Deanie, I'm sorry that you aren't going to be able to finish out the 12 weeks due to your back. You really should feel good about what all you accomplished! Your numbers are amazing, and you know exactly what to do for your next PTTP rotation. You are making a very wise - if not difficult! - decision. Feel good about being smart!!! :)

No workout today. Just enjoying being lazy with the family!

Have a great day all!!!

Melissa

I'm just checking in really quick. This morning I did the workout that I had planned for yesterday. Loved it. Felt great to be out in the backyard working out!

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year!

First and foremost, I would like to thank you ladies for being so supportive and kind to me this past year. Thank you for pushing yourselves to achieve fitness goals throughout all of life's craziness, ups and downs. I wish you much love, health, happiness, and peace in 2010.

Hey everybody! I planned to do my new Cathe today but I spent the better part of last night and this morning battling some unknown and very unpleasant malady. I feel slightly better but I am only in the mood to watch exercises not perform them. I did get some cardio in at Dillards this morning. They had 50% previously reduced items.

Deanie- Don't beat yourself up about finishing. Look at your blog from last year this time and see how much you have achieved. If Emeril followed our thread, he would say that you kicked it up a 1000 notches.:D

Gayle- Hey. Have fun today.

Melissa- Enjoy being lazy.

Jane and Marcy- Waves and smiles.

Rhonda - Hope you're feeling better. Retail therapy is always beneficial. ;) I hope you have an awesome 2010. :)

Deanie - IMO, not only did you complete PTTP in the spirit that it was meant to be done, but you ROCKED it!! :cool: Seriously, you were hitting PR's just about every week. You should be proud chickie!

Here's what I did today:

Buy-in: Lots of limbering up, dislocates, hip/hamstring stuff.
5 sets of 5 assisted pull ups with 30sec rest between, then

OHS - work up to a heavy single, then 3x5 at a lower weight.

Worked up to 68#, then did 3x5 at 53# (77%)

* 10 Walkouts

Have a good night ladies!
