Good Morning!

No workout for me today, as usual, Thursday is my rest day. It was nice to sleep in :)

Melissa::: Hope your kids are better today. What happened at the dr's? I like KTEs, I DON'T like Burpees!!! (not even secretly!!):p Although I do like when I've finished them!!....you are a strange and twisted girl!! (and I say that as a friend!!;))

Gayle:::: WOW! great workout on Tuesday! I am doing OHS tomorrow. I *heart* them:eek:! Hope you enjoyed your rest day!

Marcy::: Glad you still got a workout in yesterday. What's on tap today?

Jane::: I'm glad you found someone, and they are able to start on Monday!!! That's great! I hope all went well for your parents at their dr's visit. I am sorry to hear about the decline for your dad. My dad seems to have all those same symptoms, except he has no problem eating. This makes us laugh, because at 70, he weighs basically the same as when he was in college!! He always watched so carefully what he ate, and now.....anything goes!!! He even has cake for dessert!!:eek::eek:...just blows us away!!...anyway, I'm so glad your mom will be getting help!!!!!!

Rhonda::: Low Max is good! I can't believe you got snow! My boys wore shorts to school today! LOL I'm glad to hear your sister and baby are doing well!


I forget, did all you gals order STS cardio? It sounds like you will be getting it by the end of the year:)
Dallas has not emailed back yet:eek:... maybe my form is so bad he doesn't know where to begin!!:eek::p:confused::eek:LOL

Hi Deanie - Have a good rest day! I didn't order STS cardio...actually, my Body Blast series is also on eBay as we "speak". I remember reading on Melissa Urban's blog that she and Dallas were going to be going to Afghanistan sometime soon to assist in some CF certs over there, so that could be why you haven't heard from him.

Rhonda - SNOW?!?! I've been dying to get snow here, and we had a thunderstorm this morning instead. :eek: Glad to hear you're getting back into the swing of things. :)

I'm going to the gym to do some back squats tonight...that sounds kinda boring.

Sorry I am so late, I am just now able to log onto Cathe. The site must have been down earlier. :confused: DS is totally fine today, he likely pulled something in his groin that caused swelling. He was on the couch all day long, and he was able to walk a little last night. He woke up this morning like nothing had ever happened! To be young again and heal like that... *sigh. We got some snow this morning, too! It didn't stick, but it was pretty coming down.
Here was my workout this morning, from NJCF:

  • 25 v-sits
  • 25 kettlebell snatches on each arm
  • 25 push ups
  • 50 kettlebell swings
  • 50 squat thrusts
  • 25 kettlebell clean and press on each arm
  • 50 mountain climbers (each leg)
but I did racked squats instead of snatches because I did a ton of snatches on Tuesday and I am mad at my butt. ;) I also tacked on 5 pull ups, 4 chins and an extra 25 pushups. I finished in 17:21. It wasn't a super intense workout, but it was fast and thorough. I struggled during the c&p's because I wouldn't let myself switch arms until I finished the 25.

Deanie, I did not get STS cardio. I am sad to say that I am not as interested in her workouts now that I have found kbs and crossfit. :eek::eek::eek:
And I am SURE that the reason you haven't heard from Dallas isn't because he doesn't know where to start, lol - DON'T EVEN THINK IT! When were you finally able to send it to him and, an even better question, do you think you could do it again - without help! - if you wanted to. :p:p:p I know I couldn't, and I am not ashamed to say that I rely 100% on my husband and daughter for those types of things. ;)

Gayle, doesn't sound boring at all - at least not with the weight I know you will use. :)

Gayle::: Back squats are boring!...and not fun:p, but I hope you have a good workout anyway;) You are probably right about Dallas, I remember reading that Melissa is going, I didn't realize that included Dallas :confused:, Now I feel bad I didn't mention something about that in my email, like "good luck" or something! I looked into ebay to sell my dvds, but it was way to complicated for me:confused::confused: so then someone mentioned the ya-ya's board has a place you can sell them, but I haven't figured that out either.....I think I'm just lazy!!:eek:

eta: Melissa ::: you snuck in when I was writing my post!!LOL ....I like your workout, and 17.21 is a great time! Glad your DS is feeling better :) and NO! I could not send the video without DH or DS, and like you, not ashamed to admit it!!:) I have not seen the BBC production of North and South, but someone just recommended the books to me.

Standing Pose Flow 1 - arm balances a little easier today - did firefly balance:

Was able to do the bottom pose with toes touching. Did one other arm balance (don't know the name) but somehow my foot was in my hand and my body was arched over to the side.

Deanie - Yes, I ordered Shock Cardio. Don't know if I'm going to like them all but I originally wanted it because they were supposed to be shorter, more intense workouts. Some of them are actually longer than I expected. I hope they're something different and not more of the same old, same old. I'm sure they'll be tradeable if they're not to my liking.

Melissa - Glad your DS is feeling better! Great workout! It certainly sounds super intense.

Rhonda - Glad to hear mom and baby are doing well! Good job on Low Max!
