So, my son's birthday party is tomorrow and it is one of like two days per year when I buy him all the junk food, Doritos, Cheese-puffs, candy, non-organic juice,etc... you get the idea. Anyway, when I got done checking out my bill was probably twice what it normally is!!! So, for those friends of mine say, "it's too expensive to eat health, health food is more expensive than "normal" food, etc.." Wrongo!!! We eat healthy 95% of the year and my grocery bills are quite reasonable. I try to tell them that you just need to shop around for the best prices. I go to Walmart for non-parishable stuff and some of the organic/natural products, Vitamin Cottage and King Soopers for other items. It's worth it to me to comparison shop for my son's health. He really is sensitive to food dyes and so am I so we avoid them at all costs. Life is just better when you feel good on the inside.
Okay, hopping off my soap-box now!!
