Good morning ladies...

Today I have some housecleaning to do. Friends of ours from Tennessee are stopping in tonight on their way to New Jersey...So, gotta get the house presentable!

Workout scheduled for today is Mega Step Blast. But, I don't have that one. Wish it was on DVD!! So, I am going to do Step Blast instead...

Talk to you later..

Good Morning, Kathy!
Hottie, Vilma, Beth, Joanne (happy vacation!),

I'm pooped, but I need to go do something after the food-frenzy yesterday (ooooh but it was soooo good!).. I'm bringing Kiwi to the groomer for his summer "Lion's Cut" for 12n and Zach's friend's parents are coming to pick him up for 11, so I gotta get going..

I thought of doing a TJ, but it might run too long, so what better intense quickie workout to do but 4DS: BC!

I'm sooo tired, wish me luck!

Hey, Kathy, I have never heard of Mega Step Blast... it's only on VHS? Sounds kind of fun, but it must be wicked old school!! (leg warmers and leotards I bet!!!)

oooooooooo

Hey Chris: Yes, I think it is only on VHS. I have heard of it. But, I don't have it..Wow, busy day!! Enjoy BC..It is a quick toughie!!

Ok, checking back in with Step Blast done and I got the whole hose vacuumed!! Now, it is almost lunchtime...

Good morning..... we have a "thin" crowd this morning, don't we? har, har......

My 5k was this morning -- I seem to be no faster after all this conditioning and cardio coaching..... oh well! At least I'm not slower!! :) When I ran through the finish the guy said "your time is unofficially 33 minutes" and I said "I hope it's faster than that officially!!" and to my surprise, he said it would be -- I was kidding...... it was such a fun race, with so many people I know there. It's an out and back course, so you just can't help but see your friends. Travis was sooooo fast! I told him he would finish ten minutes ahead of me, and he did! I was very amazed to see him at the front of the pack with the fast adults -- he may have come in first for his age group, we'll see. It helps that his really fast friend decided to do the 10k this year. ;)

So, now it's off to chores. Kathy, have a great time with your friends tomorrow! Chris, that lion cut -- I remember the pics from last year!! Have a great Saturday everyone! I'm thinking of Joanne on the road..... waves to Hottie and Vilma, of course!

-Beth

I'll hopefully get to personals later but I just wanted to check in with the first half of IM3 as part of my body trying to get used to it (its not) before heading out to lab for a biggish experiment and electrolysis and some shopping...hope all is well!

Beth: Way to go for doing the 5K. I say it is great to be just in the race!! Way to go Travis too!! Awesome job!!

Hottie:Have fun shopping..Great job with IM3; it is a tough one...

OH! I like being a part of the THIN crowd!

I did do 4DS: BC, and then did the first combo of SB. Thought about doing the entire 1-3 Add On, but I was tired, and started getting a headache after the first, so I stopped why the stopping was good!

Kathy: WOOT WOOT! For Step Blast and VacuumMax!!!

Beth: WOOT WOOT! For YOU on that 5K!!!! I think it's TERRIFIC you maintained your pace and were just as fast. It's not like you've been training on running faster, so I can see why you wouldn't be, but you have the stamina to maintain it, or more! that's awesome!! that's also VERY cool about Travis! does he love to run?

.... I hope your Dylan is feeling better today. I'm sorry he had a hard time yesterday. God knows my kids have done that kind of stuff , in public, and it's like you want to walk away and say "Nope, not my kid!". ... *sigh*

Hottie: You go on IMAX3,... I think you're getting it!!! Hope you have fun shopping! (the lab and electrolysis don't sound like too much fun!)

Oh , for those who didn't see on FB, here's my "Cowardly Kiwi":

That cut is just so funny! I love the front legs. Kiwi reminds me so much of my old cat named Fussy -- who's not around anymore.

Yes, good for Travis -- and yes, I'm happy to be running it. Travis does like to run, but I think more than that is that he is competitive. He likes to do well in whatever he does (who doesn't, I know, but he is really driven).

We started cleaning up old toys and getting rid of stuff and then Travis decided he would invent a game using all of the toys, so we're in the middle of that now. I told him it all has to be cleaned up before we go to bed since it's in my workout space!

Dylan is better today -- he did not do the 1k! Just as well, because Larry was raring to get going on his project for the day, and didn't want to have to bring Dylan up later. And, I was glad to not have to stick around, truth be told, though they did have a live band and it was very festive.

Ok, back to the crazy game......

-Beth

I cannot believe I forgot to mention this in my other posts!!! I finished Racing in the Rain yesterday -- absolutely loved it, but I have to say..... I got the impression from you guys that it was light reading, and I found that middle to be very intense and stressful!! -- but, it did have a very nice ending, and I am making Larry read it now. He read a little bit last night and commented "this is a very strange book" in a way that wasn't bad. :)

-Beth

Chris: Oh my goodness that picture of your cat is so funny!!

Ok, today's workout will be gym style legs..I will get to that after we get home from church. Going to a later mass (12:30) today since our overnight guests are still here...They will be heading out as soon as the kids get dressed...

Talk to you later!!

Hey guys. Last night a bunch of bugs bit my right ankle so its still pretty swollen (I don't do well against bug bites). Benadryl is helping but it makes me super sluggish in the morning. I was sweating all last night when I was sleeping because not only did DH not open the windows to let the cool air in (and to push the hot air out!), he lowered the fan setting. :( So me cranky. I have no idea when my body is going to get to a workout today since I feel so blehhhhh...but I have a massage scheduled at 10a (to help my back). It feels better so I think I'm going to start the push circuit today barring anything to funny feeling. BM2 is calling me sort of (but I'm telling it to shut up right now). Oh, and I'm excited because Joe is making a renewed effort to get healthy again (bday is in 6 wks). The Evee running has been great but he wants to return to lifting and he chooses no one other than Cathe. He'll do CLX with me he said but he spent 10+ minutes on how Cathe was superior. So cute!!!

Kathy -- EEEEK! GS Legs!!! EEK! Still afraid of that one. But love the GS series. Have fun today!

Chris -- your cat is such a goofball! I totally want to just play with her! Did you have work today?

Beth -- WOOHOO on the 5K! And so cool about your fast kid! My family always complained about my lack of competitive drive so that's so cool that its surfacing so early. And what a healthy sport too that you can do anywhere. Sorry if I misled you on the book -- I meant more that it was an easy read in that the language could be absorbed very quickly as opposed to the way that some peole write where each word is so heavy and complex that it takes a lot of brain power to get through. I also read it pretty much during a wait for experiments day so I finished it too quickly for many of the more stressful parts to linger on.

Hmm...time to go through the Sunday Ads...

Good morning!! Hottie, it's ok on the book -- just giving you guys a hard time -- I really did enjoy it. Too bad about the bug bites -- what a bummer! Does Joe have a milestone birthday coming up?

Kathy, I haven't done GS in months and months, of course, but I do remember the legs being killer -- that stretch at one point is so painful!! You know what I mean, right? Hope you are having fun with your guests!

I did muscle max this morning. Thought about ME, but realized I had done parts of it recently with the BC/ME combo, so I decided to visit the old friend MM. Funny, it did not seem as hard as my memory of it, somehow. I did flake out on the core work -- I just felt done, and I'm not that big a fan of Cathe's core stuff, I guess. The core work on that barre workout I did the other day was really killer. I know Cathe's stuff is too, but I can't even seem to do it. I know I've complained of this before -- I'll shut up now.

We are going to watch Travis' friend in his first gokart race today -- the timing is great since I just finished the book. It's very cute -- at 7 years old this boy knew he wanted to be a formula 1 driver when he grows up, so here he is at 10 having racing lessons. Do you guys know about that british documentary "7 up"? They started interviewing the same group of kids every 7 years, starting at 7 years old, and it is apparently amazing how what they want to be when they grow up ended up coming sort of true (they started in the 60s I think, and have kept it up). Anyway, funny enough, I heard about that documentary from the mum (she's british, so she's a mum :)) of this boy. It'll be interesting to see what ends up happening with him! Funny thing is that they met Michael Schummaker or whatever his name is -- the formula 1 driver mentioned in the book. He lives here in the mountains, and a friend of their's is his neighbor and mentioned the boy's interest, so he drove to their house in a ferrari and my friend got to "put her ass where his sits" as she put it. Hopefully I'm not repeating this story to you -- I just think it's a great story.

Ok, enough of my babble. I'm going to go make Larry coffee and I need to get in the shower!

Hottie, enjoy your massage.....

-Beth

Hey Guys!...

Just a quickie to say "Hey"!

I am working my usual overnights... Greg is home, though (he worked last sunday night, so gets this weekend off) and it's such a nice feeling not to have to worry about the boys going wild..

Though Jake apparently did. A dad from down the street, who has 7 kids of his own, came over in a tizzy (and he's usually very laid back), quite upset that jake was over their house with another little friend, "giving the middle finger and dropping the F Bomb". ... I do not know what is up with him and his mouth! Remember he told kids to "smell his finger" at school after he stuck it in his butt? ... What am I going to do with that kid??

Anyway, he's banned from their house, (by the father's request AND ours!).

I woke up in the at 12n today, and I had it in my mind it was Monday... so I was quite bummed to find out it's only Sunday and I have to go back to work again... :( Looking forward to doing a cardio tomorrow and trying to figure out which one I'll do!!!... Oooh , maybe a short one at home and a run at the park? ... Not sure if my Monday body could handle that...
