Goodmorning ladies,

This morning my workout was a 35 min bike ride with my DH and kids. We had a nice time. I hope you all are doing great! I'll check back in again later.

:)

Girls, I started the thread, but now I don't know if I was supposed to put August 08 Checkin or July? :( Sorry, if I made a mistake.

July... August... it's all good!

We are the August check in, now, Ivy, but I'm sure most of us haven't realized that it's August yet (myself included!). Sounds like you had a nice bike ride with the family. What a great idea.

Is anyone doing the August Rotation? I printed it off and it looks awesome! I love the idea of changing up the weight work each week.

My scheduled WO today is Circuit Max. I've not done it before and honestly, I am kind of dreading it. I think because it's on the same disc with CK and that is not one of my faves. I may do something else. We shall see.

I hope you all have a fantastic Friday! See you all later!

Hello Ladies! Remember me? LOL

Its been a hectic week for me and hopefully things will simmer down a bit. My workouts have been all but non existent this week, hopefully I can do a TM run tonight while I wait for the party at the bookstore to start @ 10 pm until past midnight - lol I'm a BIG Twilight book fan
icon_redface.gif
and my girls and I are dressing up as the characters big fun! I know I'll be up reading the book 'Breaking Dawn" when I should be sleeping but thats me

I'm thinking I should be back to my normal schedule soon

OMG! I hate when days slip into each other -this week went by so darned fast!

This week I had some drywall work done - still not finished as the guy is coming back middle of the week as he's letting the stuff dry - I tell you for minor hairline cracks I'm surprised at all he did - dh says it was necessary but goodness so much drywall! I hope I don't collapse from sticker shock!

Today is the start of the tax free weekend so I'll be out and about this entire weekend one day per kid to stock them up with things they need including clothes and shoes - No way can I take all three of them. DS who will be 16 in a few weeks is the easiest, my girls ages 18 and 10 not so much OY!

As far as rotations I haven't even gone to see what Cathe put out yet.

Hope you all have a terrific One!!!

Vilma, of course we remember you! ;) I was looking at those Twilight books at Borders the other day. Looked very interesting - I might have to pick up the first one and see if I like it. Have fun at the party! I can remember what a PITA I was to my poor mother shopping for school clothes when I was a teenager. I feel bad now! Nothing fit right or looked right and everything she suggested was of course, absolutely unacceptable! Thankfully my kids aren't at that stage yet. I buy their clothes on my own and the boys don't really care. My daughter loves clothes, though, and changes about three times a day. Luckily we get lots of really nice hand me downs from my neice and neighbor, so she's got a closetful! Hope you can get your workout in today.

Becca, I did see the August rotation and thought it looked really good, too. I'm debating it. I still have 2.5 weeks left of the rotation I'm on, though. I may finish out this week and then start August. Let me know if you're going to do it. I know, of all the Cathe workouts Circuit Max and Cardio Kicks are my least favorites.

Ivy, the bike ride sounds great.

Well, a few of you on this thread might remember me posting about my daughter having heart surgery. Well, we finally got a date (long, frustrating story!) and it's September 18. I'm a little nervous that we're waiting too long but the surgeon's office said it was fine. At least she can start kindergarten, go for a couple weeks and get to know the kids and teacher before the surgery. They said she'll probably be out of school for a month. I was freaking when we first found out about it, I was OK for awhile, and now I'm freaking again!!

Anyway, on a brighter note, my workout this morning was 4DS chest and back and the standing core work from Tracey's Core Blast. I'm going to try to do an itread during lunch if nothing comes up here at work.

Hope you all have a great day!!

Joanne

Good Morning

I just finished doing 4DS Boot Camp. That was one that really worked me good. My arms feel like noodles. I have DOMS in my chest from yesterdays workout WOW! I'm not sure if I will be able to vacuum the pool. I'm not sure what I will do tomorrow. May be go for a run with DH.

I haven't looked at the August Rotation yet. I will start that rotation on Mon.

Last night I went to the movies with my Sister and my Mom. We saw Mamma Mia. If you haven't seen it you really should. What a great movie. I have to admit that when I saw the previews it wasn't a movie that I wanted to go see. I'm glad I did.

Have a great day.

BBL

Lori

I just checked out the August Rotation. Looks great. Did you see the last week is 4DS? The last week is a workout every day 7 days!!!!

I see that Becca is doing it any one else???

Hey Everyone!

"Rabbit Rabbit" (good luck to say on the 1st of the month!)

I'm *IN* on the AUG 08 Rotation starting Monday! Sounds like there might be a few doing it, so that will be cool. It's fun to compare workouts. :D It definitely looks different, and challenging. But of course, i'm already questioning what "Intense 50 Minutes of Your favorite Cardio" could be (what are you guys going to do?) and also "60 Minutes of a Weight Bearing Cardio"... what are some examples of that, since I don't have a cycle?

Ivy: Your morning family bike ride sounds like fun AND a good little workout!

Becca: Good luck with CM. I haven't done it yet, because, like you, I'm not a fan of CK. Let me know what you think!

Vilma: Miss ya!!! Sorry your week is getting away from you. I hate that. I feel like that most weeks, and don't even have much going on! LOL!! The book store sounds like fun. I've vaguely heard of that series of books. I enjoy reading aLOT , but it takes me about 3 months to read a book sometimes!

Joanne: Yes! Let's do the Aug. rotation! I did 4 weeks of the 4DS/GS rotation (which I totally love, btw), but I'm okay to stop there and do another one. Can always go back to it when I need a good rotation to do. I understand about the anxieties about your daughter, too. A little bit anyways. I'm having major anxiety *issues* about my 12 year old son w/diabetes going to camp for the first time next week. ... Hey.. Good workout for today!! Even if you dont get to the iTread!

Lori: GREAT going on the 4DS work this week!! Sounds like you're really getting some good workouts from it!! I love the movies, usually no matter what I see! Oddly enough, my 8 year old son said he was interested in seeing "Mama Mia" .... LOL!!

See you guys later....:)

Good for all of you for getting your workouts started. Unfortunately, nearly 2 minutes after I got out bed, the crap started coming in the form of emails (yes, I check my email before I open my eyes) and something has managed to annoy me every ten minutes (especially after I got into work which is surprising because I am only 1 of 3 people who are on the floor this early). I'm not sure how much I can do today but I'm hoping to get at least a half-hour of something at the campus gym while I put something in for autoclaving (sterilizing). Wish me luck so that I may not throttle someone.

Good morning! Yes, it is still morning in CA. I did cc #7 this morning -- Vilma, I am in awe of you -- that is killer. That second challenge did me in.

The August rotation does look interesting, but unfortunately I don't have a lot of the weight workouts. I don't want to buy any more weight workouts since I have STS coming. I may do the 4DS rotation Chris did, or I may just wing it. I do want to go a little heavier with weights for a while.

The family bike ride sounds so fun! We all bought bikes a couple of years ago, but unfortunately we have these awful weeds on our property (goat head thorns or something?) that popped all of our tires. So bad that we just bought new tubes for at least one of the bikes.

Joanne, good to have the surgery scheduled, I'm sure, so that you can start planning it and getting your head wrapped around it, but I can completely understand it freaking you out again. We'll all be thinking of you, of course! And, for missing school - at least it's the beginning of the year.

I am so wiped from that run this morning. I'm off to do errands and go to the dentist....

-Beth

Count me in for Aug. 08 rotation, too, starting on Monday!!

Hottie, hope that work settles down and people stop annoying you!!

Chris, "rabbit, rabbit" back at you. ;) Never heard that before! I think 50 minutes of intense cardio could be running, or something like Step Blast. I'm not sure about the weight-bearing cardio. I do have a couple icycles, so I might do one of those. I wish someone would ask Cathe that question on the rotation thread. But, I guess I could, right?! I know, don't our kids worry us to death sometimes? How far away will your son be? I think it's great that you're letting him have this experience even though it's so worrisome for you.

Lori, I've heard good things about Mamma Mia. Maybe I can sneak off this weekend with a friend to see it.

Joanne

I'm not awake yet.... I trailed off on the bike stuff. The adult bikes are still sitting without tires repaired -- at least the boys can ride theirs.

Oh, and on that Twilight thing -- my niece who has been with us nannying is a fan and she's going to that event tonight, too. So funny!

Beth CCv7 is my favorite CC from all the volumes I absolutely love it! So glad you did it

It going to be fun I tell you and after this crazy week I need it! My youngest and I are going as the Italian Volturi family she'll be Jane and my oldest is dressing in her prom dress of course we have the pale makeup and body glitter along with the long black robes too. These vamps don't have fangs - that would be a cause for being disqualified lol.

My oldest DD got me reading the book when she borrowed it from a friend. After finding that I couldn't put down the first book and read it or rather devoured that book in less than a day I ended up buying our own copy and the other books in that series as they came out. I love a good Love story :p

Hello everyone, just wanted to say that I won't be able to check the thread for today. I'm going to be very busy this whole weekend, but life comes back to normal on Monday since DH will be going back to work. I'll check back in with you guys on Monday. I will start the lower body solution rotation or the B&G rotation. Still thinking...LOL! But, I'm heading more towards the lower body solution. I hope you all have a great weekend! Enjoy your workouts today and in the weekend! :)

BB on Monday morning :)

Vilma, enjoy your Twilight fun tonight. Sounds like it will be a blast!

Joanne, I am planning on starting the August rotation on Monday. I will miss a few WO's because of the RT, but I have a feeling I will make up for lost time while I am there. I will keep your DD in my prayers. At least you have the date and can start making plans. I'm sure this will be a stressful time for you and your family.

Lori, I loved Mamma Mia. Such a fun movie!

Chris, Rabbit, rabbit! I think weight bearing cardio can be anything except swimming since you would not be bearing any weight on your muscles in the water. I am planning on using my CC's on the TM for all those cardio WO's, but step, running, elliptical, etc. would be fine.

Hottie, I hope you make it through the day without throttling anyone!

Beth, great job on Vol7! I don't have that one yet, but with the price drops at CC, I will probably own it soon enough!

I still haven't worked out, but I am going to give Circuit Max a shot. We are going to the pool in a bit then I will WO after we get home.

Now, Becca, you're not procrastinating on doing that Circuit Max workout, are you? ;) Actually, if I had to choose one over the other, I'd rather do Circuit Max than Cardio Kicks. Some of the cardio is fun.

Ivy, enjoy your weekend too! I don't usually get on here on the weekends either.

Vilma, I hope your kids realize what a fun mom they have!!

Well, I did itread 25 (I think) on the treadmill during lunch. Felt great and went 3.5 miles. I'm so ready to go home right now!

I bit the bullet and did Circuit Max. I am not a big fan of hi-lo so the first three cardio sections were not very enjoyable, however, I did like the step-boxing and the step segments. I got a good, sweaty workout, but I think the next time it comes up on the rotation I will do C&W in it's place. That is just a bit more fun for me. Anyone have a good substitution for Cardio Fusion? I think there may be a BM2 premix that is all cardio that I may do in it's place.

I'm off to shower and eat Friday Night Pizza!:p Have a great evening!

Hey Girls!

I was so excited about August's Rotation.. I never told you what I did for a workout today! (i'm sure you all sitting there on pins and needles waiting to know!! :p).

I switched up tomorrow and today's scheduled workout, because I thought this one was longer. GS: Back, Shoulder Biceps. Have you guys noticed that everywhere it says the workout is 62 Minutes long, but it's only really 49 minutes? It gets me every time, I never remember!! So tomorrow I'll do GS: Triceps & Chest, plus I'll add Core.

Thanks for the info on "weight bearing" cardios! I did post under Cathe's Rotation post, so we'll see if she answers, btu I now have a good idea of what I can do.

Joanne: My son's camp is actually VERY close, that is it's only saving grace. It's probably a 5-10 minute drive at the most.

Becca: Oh no! I had no idea that CM was with HI/LO! I probably should try to sell my DVD, I will never "want" to do it!

Enjoy your weekends... I will be checking in tomorrow at least, maybe not Sunday... with work/sleep/work/sleep!

~Chris
