Is doing GS: BSB and CT once a week enough to get buff?

I really have neglected my arms for a while and want to whip them in shape for this summer. Is doing the Gym Styles each once a week enough to get them to pop? Anyone have results they'd like to share?

I think if you go as heavy as you can, get in some cardio and you eat clean, yes. In order to get "buff" many of us have to reduce that fat layer over top of the muscle to see the definition. That's where the eating clean and cardio come into play. Alot of folks do a split that works each body part once a week like this with good results. Keep us posted on how it's working!

Yes, definitely. It will allow you the recovery time for your body to rebuild. I think it would work best without excessive cardio (which will burn off the calories needed to build the muscle).

I also recommend doing the Gs series this way:

Day 1: Chest/triceps (or back/shoulders/biceps)
Day 3: Legs
Day 5: Back/shoulders/biceps (or chest/triceps)

which spaces out the upper body workouts, and allows you to lift heavier with upper body while at the same time being kind to the shoulders.

I'd recommend Gym styles this way (with perhaps the lower body done 2x,on days 3 and 6, since lower body exercises like squats and lunges use large muscle groups, and this promotes a production of more growth hormone as well as a boost to the metabolism).

I've been using the Gym Styles now for about 8 weeks once a week for each workout and definitely am seeing a much firmer look to my body. I still have a fat layer (lifting won't get rid of that) but it looks a lot better on me than before! I haven't been able to do cardio because of my knees so I am pleased that just doing weights is making me look better.
