Is an MP5 player OK for downloads?

I'm investigating the whole idea of getting downloads for the new Low Impact Series, as shipping and taxes could make this a bit more than I can pay at the moment.

I don't have any of the devices needed but have been looking on Ebay at some of the second hand ones. I don't really use an IPod or player for anything else, so it would be just for the workouts. If I get one, it would also mean I can get all my future Cathe's workouts as downloads, which will cut my costs alot in the longrun.

There are some really good deals but, being a real technophobe, I'm not sure what to go for. Which Ipod is best for Cathe's downloads? Also, I've seen an MP5 player, would this work with the downloads? Do they have to have a certain memory capacity, or can you use a memory stick?

Please help me!

Thanks

Emma

Hello Emma,

First, I would recommend avoiding "MP5" players. This is a marketing term that is applied to off-brand Chinese knock-off video players to make them seem more advanced than MP4 players. We don't support them and can't make any guarantees that our videos will play on them since there are no standards that apply to them.

That being said, the best device right now to play our videos on would be an iPod touch: http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/ They come in different capacities up to 64GB, with increasing prices to match the increasing storage. However, remember you can always just load your favorite videos onto a lower-capacity player and easily remove and copy other videos over to it using iTunes as you need. Even a lower-capacity 8GB player will hold about 10-15 Cathe Download videos (depending on their length, of course).

Hope this helps you make a decision!
