I have an interview tommorrow at a local hospital ! Im VERY excited about it but of course im also very nervous! Im a shy person so the very word 'interview' freaks me out! Ive already got my outfit picked out...black dress slacks and nice blouse(how does that sound?). Ive already started going over in my head what kinds of question the interviewer is going to ask....Any tips, advice? I also have to take a typing test:confused::confused: which isn't so bad but the idea of typing and getting timed is so nerve wracking....

Im SO EXCITED...ME?.... working at a hospital:eek::eek::eek:my dream job!!!

First of all good luck- YOU WILL DO GREAT!!!!! Do some deep breathing exercises before you go in if you can. When we are stressed we do not breath correctly. So before hand do this and hopefully it will help you relax a bit.

My BEST interviews were where I went in not really caring (basically, an I don't give a sh*t attitude) and that took alot of pressure off of me and I was able to relax and be myself. Also, I was told not to give quick answers. It is okay to take a few seconds to think after the interviewer poses a question. Good luck!

Why not convey some of the same enthusiasm you have just shared with us? You are such a bright and talented chick and I am confident you will do just fine.

Black dress pants and a nice blouse sound good. Just be yourself and you will be doing great. I will be thinking about you tomorrow.

Smile & make eye contact.
Do your research on the hospital.
Have a question or two to ask the interviewer(s)--but not about salary or benefits unless you're offered the position.
Be positive.
Avoid over-answering.

Best of luck, Amelia! We're pullin' for ya! Let us know how it goes.

Thanks so much!!!! My interview is in about two hours:confused: yep,the butterflies are coming;)

I will let you girls know how it goes!! You guys have made me feel better:)....i can TOTALLY do this....

Also:i took some wpm test last night for the typing test and OMG,i didn't know i could type that fast,LOL...i just updated my resume:D

Well,I think it went good! I was nervous(of course) but i had well thought out answers to the same old questions! My typing test went very well!

The only thing is that when i got there-there was two ladies waiting and after a breif chat with them I found out they were waiting to interview for the same postion im applying for...and when i was done with the interview there was a different lady waiting....kinda discouraging to have all that competition:( specially if they have previous medcal administrative experience. I mean i do have administrative experience, just not medical,AND i do have that billing certification and medical billing IS one of the jobs responsibilities.....mygoodness, listen at me ramble on  im still nervous,LOL

I won't hear anything back for alteast a week.....Everybody keep there fingers crossed!

I'm glad to hear it went well! It's so hard to wait for the results of something that makes you so nervous, isn't it? I remember the last time I interviewed for a job. Please let us know the outcome!
