Good Morning Girls.

Well, no work out for me y'day. I ended up feeling awful for a while in the morning and so I opted for a rest day just to be safe. I took more vitamin C this morning. Still have a scratchy throat and the corner of my lip is cracked so I know there is "something" going on. I just hope it stays small and managable. That being said, so long as I don't start to feel lousy, I intend to make my up my missed run from y'day....30 minutes is all I need. :)

I was supposed to take Joey to the park y'day but it never happened for several reasons so I am going to try to make that happen today, after the gym. Later on this afternoon we are going to my MIL's for dinner-another UNHEALTHY meal headin' my way! :p

Let me get this posted just incase Lori is up looking to start the thread too. :D I'll brb with personals!

Lori:: So how was the multiple Birthday dinner celebration y'day? What was on the menu? So what's the crack about the scale batteries supposed to mean, young lady? :D I hope your scale breaks on you now!:p

Diana:: I wish they sold the Insanity Deluxe DVD separately cause I'd snatch it up in a second! I noticed loss of definition in my triceps after just that first week of Insanity with no lifting which is why I quickly put it back in and have made sure it gets done ever since! The program is definitely yielding results for me but I don't think I'd be nearly as happy with them if I wasn't adding lifting to the routine.

Jacque:: I haven't been into step in ages! The only step work outs I do anymore are the imaxes and I haven't even done one of them in many months! I need to go back and re-read the description of Shock Cardio. I pre-ordered impulsively cause it was a new Cathe but it may not even be something that I'll use all that often so I'll have to see. Everyone is saying how they are using Insanity to get them ready for Shock Cardio but honestly, I don't see how a work out can get much harder then Insanity without being dangerous or simply not doable!!! Oh and I hate to say it, but um, yeah! You SHOULD be scared of month 2 I think cause I know I am!!!!:D:eek:

Good Morning!

I didn't get back here yesterday...as you can see. I was kept going but what I really wanted to do was lie down and take a nap:confused: That run plus 3 late nights kinda wipped me. Then last night DH and I decided to have some drinks and play cards. It was 1:30 before we went to bed:confused: and then DS was up at 7:15. DH did get up with him and let me sleep in but it wasn't that easy. DS kept coming into the room and trying to pull me out of the bed and if the door was shut he was beating on the door. So I probably slept from 8:30-9:30. Better then noth'in I guess. I WILL be going to bed early tonight though.

I haven't decided if today is a rest day, a Insanity day or hills on the TM tonight. Yesterdays run was my last long run until my race. I know I can run 20 km, thats not the prob...the prob is those dreaded hills!

So yesterdays reading was 25.5 in 2:03 , and 1442 cals burned:eek: Makes me want to run that far everyday! Well...kinda...but not really! LOL

Wendy** No sneaking in today! Now tomorrow and the next day may be different. I am back to working the day shift this week. Hope you aren't getting sick to!!

I am going to read yesterdays thread, then I will return!

Hi ladies,

Jerod's team won again yesterday!!! They are doing really well with only 1 loss. I think a loss is goods because it lets the team know they are not invincible. The team we lost to is undefeated, and the team we play next weekend has the same record we do. Their only loss is also to the team that is undefeated.

This morning we are heading to my niece's soccer game. She is playing in the State Cup quarter finals today. She is a Sr. in high school and has already accepted a soccer scholarship to Colorado School of Mines. It's a well known engineering university. We are very proud of her.

I have some serious DOMs in my legs from Friday's leg day. My UB is nice and sore from GS yesterday. Today is an Insanity w/o, GS C&B, and I have spinning. I'm a little worried about spinning with my legs already as sore as they are. I think I can managae if I keep the tension to minimum on the bike.

Due to my work schedule next week, I may be doing insanity in the evenings. If I can get up early enough then morning would be my preference.

Wendy-I woke up with your cold like symptoms this morning. I too am hoping it clears up quickly. I do have the Deluxe set but haven't even previewed the additional 3 discs. One of them is upper body weights, and the other two are cardio. ITA, I can't imagine any w/o being harder than Insanity. Has there been any updates on when Shock Cardio will be coming out?

Lori-Nice run yesterday. I'm surprised with all your running that you didn't get a garmin a long time ago. I still love mine but it doesn't get used much anymore. Enjoy whatever w/o you decide.

Jacque-I'm sure your family loves having you around just for these little (sewing, cookeing, etc.) emergencies. When DS1 was umpiring in HS, we had to take his uniform pants to MIL's for her to sew the hem. Fortunately, she didn't cut the material so the next summer DS umpiring he simply had to remove the hem and the length was fine. My MIL is a lifesaver in all kinds of situations. Although you may not be doing an Insanity w/o today, moving, lifting, walking up and downstairs all count as a w/o!

Have a great day ladies.

Guess what? I didn't get back right away...surprise, surprise! I did get all of my house work done and I even cleaned the whole kitchen. It needed to be done but I have to admit when I was doing it I wish I had never started it! LOL

So I played with the Garmin and switched my miles to kms so my history changed. It seemed as if I calculated miles into Kms wrong yesterday. I thought it was x's by 1.7 but I think it is actually 1.6. So I ran 15 miles in 2:03 at a 5:10 pace (km) so I actually ran 24. (something kms) and not 25.5. When I got to the 13 mile mark i was thinking about my running partner who is doing a marathon and that what I did yesterday she is gonna have to do twice:eek: Eek!

Wendy** The celebration was put on hold. My MIL wasn't feeling well so now they are having a gathering on Tues at her neighbours house. Which is TONS of fun for us b/c they is decorations and glass everywhere so its the perfect spot to take a toddler:rolleyes: I think I will be sitting this one out and DH can go. It isn't enjoyable for either one of us. Also I am working all day and he is usually pretty moody when he as spent all day at the sitters. I will make up some kind of excuse why I can't go or else I will put DS to put and DD can watch him. I kinda think I have flights on Tues night as well so I probably won't have to come up with an excuse.

Diana** Does this mean that you are going to get up earlier every weekend now?? hehe! Theres lots to be done when you wake up early:) Maybe thats why I get so much done in the run of a day. Enjoy your game! Thats awesome news about your neice. She must be quit the soccer player. There is a boy in DD's class (12 yrs old) and he just one the mens golf tournament last weekend. I think he will be pro forsure!

Jacque** I guess you are moving?? Im liking Insanity BUT I don't think I will see any weightloss from it. I tell ya though after doing it the other day and then doing GS Shoulders, my shoulders were on fire the rest of the day!

So I still haven't decided what I am doing. DS is gone to his grandparents house but I feel like a lump. Not tired, just lazy. Prehaps I workout will help or it might make me worse:eek: In saying that, I did just eat a McChicken so prehaps I need to do something!!!

BBL!

Hey Girls,

Back to report my workout. I got my arse in gear and did my workout. I kinda feel hungover'ish. I had a drink last night that really equalied 2...and then I had a little bit more. I think I felt them to! LOL Maybe that plus my long run yesterday is making me feel like I drank a 24 of beer?

Anyway, I jumped into Month 2 of Insanity again b/c I have tried all of the Month 1 ones. I did Max Interval Plyo! It was a good workout but Im glad I didn't feel like I was gonna die.

Hi ladies,

Well my niece's soccer game went into double overtime but they ended up winning 2-1. Now they advance to the Semi-Finals.

I've been gone from 10-2:40. My spin class is at 4, I still need to pay the bills and balance the checkbook. Not sure how I'm going to fit Insanity in today.

Lori-well getting up early yesterday was just a fluke. I was by 8 this morning and left at 10, but due to the double overtime it took much more of my day than I anticipated. I still need to get my printer working again. You will love the garmin once you get the settings and display the way you want them.

Hey peeps.

I've been MIA the past few days thanks to work (on Friday) and Foxwoods (yesterday and today). I had meetings all day on Friday, then I went out for belated birthday drinks with my GF. Yesterday, SO and I left early and spent the night at the casino. We had a nice dinner and got a beautiful suite to stay in, but we both came home BIG LOSERS and I'm not very happy about that. I'm swearing that place off for a while

Wendy: Your body is loving Insanity! Woohoo! I finished week three yesterday with PCC, but I can't claim to be having any visible results after this weekend. I'm in need of another diet detox :p

Lori: WOW, what a run! Have you run a marathon yet? I think you need to if you haven't.

Jacque: So glad for you that your DS and fam is going to be closer! I'll bet you're working your butt off today and loving every minute of it, even though there's nothing worse than moving IMO! The reward is worth it, huh? I'm seeing the cardio gains that you're seeing as well in that I'm able to get through the "warm up" very strongly now and don't need a break as early on in the workouts. I'm eager to get into month 2!

Diana: I also managed to get up and going pretty early yesterday, and I was thinking about how good it felt to have that extra time to get stuff done. I managed to get my workout in and clean my house before I left. But despite that, I like catching up on sleep too much so it's not likely to happen too often ;) Jerod must be thrilled to be having a good season so far! That's great for him!

Hi to Laura!

Today was a rest day, and thank God because I'm still feeling under the weather a bit. Not horrible, but enough to make me want chicken soup (which I did make and it was delish). Plus my feet/ankles were really sore yesterday. Today is giving them a nice break. I'm hoping recovery week will do the trick to get rid of the soreness completely.

Laundry is beckoning, but I'll check in later to see if anyone is around.

Jen

Hi Girls,

I just got back from spin class and my quads are screaming! We had a great ride today though...we did 3 long, tough hills and the rest was endurance.

I'm eating a salad w/a can of tuna on it. It's tasting pretty good right now. I'll probably get going on the laundry and bill paying and see how much time that leaves me. I also need to prepare my meals for the week.

Jen-Sorry you came home a loser, but you did get a night out with your SO which should count for something. Yep, Jerod is loving this season.

RPage-Unless you want to track your progress, the fit test isn't necessary. If that's important to you then you should take the test. The fit test is basically several of the moves that are in the rest of the workouts...you do as many as you can in 1 minute. After 2 weeks of Insanity you take the fit test again and see how you've improved.

May bbl...
