I was walking the dogs this morning and thinking how they would get a much better "work-out" if I was running. Well, I hate running, and it hurts my knees anyway. Then I thought about my bike, but I did that once with a dog and he ran in front of me. I hit him and we both got pretty hurt.
So then I was thinking about how Cesar will take higher energy dogs out wearing his inline skates. I LOVE skating! It's great exercise, it's fun, and I can speed up or slow down as the dogs need.
I was loooking online to buy a pair of Rollerblades, but I'm a little nervous to make the commitment to buy. I'm 9 months out from my ACL surgery. My knee still has a constant ache to it (sometimes very faint, other times it downright hurts), but my surgeon assures me that the graft is solid and I can do any exercise I want. I have as much of a chance reinjuring it as I do injuring the "good" knee.
Is it just a "get over it" thing....or should I hold off? I'm thinking the former - as I was very timid about pivoting my standing leg for roundhouse kicks my first few weeks back to taekwondo. Now I don't even think twice about them.
