A few weeks ago I had a tenant come in the self storage property and scope out a vehicle that was being stored, they came in later that day and stole all 4 tires off from it. We then cancelled the tenant's lease and have yet to get a hold of the vehicle owner to press charges. The tenant who stole the tires is claiming they were never near the vehicle - even though we have it on video. They think since they have not ben visited by the police that we have no evidence on them. I'm amazed at their arrogance.
Then I had a man walk in that was disheveled looking and carrying a rubber tie down strap and was asking random questions on storage and then asked if I was alone. That was scary. He might have had the rubber tie down to use as a weapon. And when he left he wanted to shake my hand and that scared me too.
I'm thinking that this is only the beginning of the problems to come if the economy does not pick up.
But.. on a happier note I've lost 14# *yay* and have 30# more to go. I wanted very badly to have lost 20# by my fiddy'ith birthday next week but I'm not gonna make it. Oh well, I'm working to have the remaining 30# gone by the end of the year. Nice and slow...
