i-Pod Docking Stations....

My daughter's 18th birthday is fast approaching and one thing on her list as a docking station that recharges for her 60G i-Pod video. I went looking today and got a serious brain knot x( I wondered if any of you here have had 'hits and/or misses' with docking stations. Any recommendations or brands/features to look for or avoid? TIA

There's a great one that I got at Bed Bath and Beyond. It was only $40 I think. I can't remember the brand name but it looks like a little spaceship that you can dock your ipod in. (Does that make any sense?....)

They come in all sorts of colors. Mine is pink...hehe

ETA-It also charges my ipod...

My almost 17yr dd has one that she purchased from Bed, Bath & Beyond, last summer - it charges up her Nano plus it's a regular clock radio w/ alarm. She wakes up to her music every morning.

It fits different Ipods, she had initially got it for her now stolen Ipod Mini and when the Mini was gone she used it as a regular clock radio.

She was worried that it would not fit her new Nano but it does. She is very happy with that docking station I believe she got it on sale for 75 dollars. It's a bit larger than the other docking stations that I've seen around.

iHome makes several. Some are portable, like a boom box.

Try http://www.ihomeaudio.com/ and pull down on products.

I got one at radio shak but it is somewhat finicky and doesn't work like the directions (I had to figure it out myself by trial and error.) I would avoid radio shak brands.
