Good Morning

Just getting us started.............

Rhonda~ sounds like you had a great time in Florida :) You are right, if I like Resolution, why am I switching???!

Tammy~ ETK is a great place to start with kettlebells. I did the program, and will probably do it again next year. Not sure what you don't understand, please feel free to ask!!:) I also frequent the AOS forums and ask questions there. I have even emailed with questions and twice got a response from the man himself:eek::eek: (anthony). My brother started kettlebells this year and is a big research guy, he frequents dragon door forums alot and I have started to also. He thinks AOS is great with all the different workouts, but isn't clear on the best way to use them or goals. With DD and Pavel the goals are very specific. I think he is right. HTH:confused:

Marcy~Hope you enjoy your Slim Series:):)

Jane~ hope you had a nice rest day!

Laura~ You got a great bargin with P90X for that price!! Marcy is right, I did it one time thru. I liked tony in the begining, but after a while he was annoying. It is a great program though!! Enjoy!

Gayle~ Hope work wasn't too much yesterday and you got to the gym!!

Melissa~ Hope all is going well and you are having fun!

waves to everyone else!

bbl with my workout- after much back and forth, and since I am enjoying my program, I am going to file the deadlift program from 603 and do it after another month of SIM/Resolution:confused::confused::confused:. not sure how lifting at a lighter weight is going to help me lift heavier, but I do want to try it, just not now....

Hi Girls

Did P90X Chest & Back. The pullups were very much assisted but it wasn't too bad. Tomorrow I'm going to try Plyometrics. I'm trying to watch my eats so planned is:

Meal 1: 1 egg, 2 egg whites and oats.
Meal 2: Whey
Meal 3: Scrambled eggs with peppers and onions. Odd concoction I found in Oxygen magazine using tofu which I altered for eggs. Not that nice really.
Meal 4: Low fat natural yogurt and grapes.
Meal 5: Grilled lamb cutlet with mixed veg and spinach.
Meal 6: Whey & Cottage cheese.

I might add another whey protein before work tonight so as not to feel too hungry. Boring but needs must.

Hope everyone has great days.

Love
Laura
xx

Good morning!

Still no workout yesterday. I'M DEFINITELY GETTING ONE IN TONIGHT!!! Sorry for yelling, but that was therapeutic. ;)

Deanie - I think filing the 603 program for now is a good idea, especially since you like Resolution AND your deadlifting in there anyway AND showing really, really good progress with it.

Laura - Good deal on P90X! Have fun with Plyometrics today.

Jane - I hope you had a nice, relaxing rest day.

Marcy - Have fun with the Slim Series rotation!

Rhonda - Sounds like you had a fun weekend! Overpriced drinks always taste better. ;) WTG on getting Low Max in before all that!

Tammy - I love Eoin Finn PY4H! Hope you were able to get rested up.

Waves to Melissa and Andilynn!

Have a great day everyone!!!

Hey all! Sorry I didn't check in y'day, but I was busy. My sister is here (from northern IN) until the end of the week and today is sign-ups for DD's school (and cross country!). I feel so bad for not sharing personals with you guys. :(

Yesterday I did SIM (I missed that over the weeks!!!) and I am not really sure what I'll do today yet, probably Diva with some pull-ups at the end... I haven't done pull ups in WEEKS, and I sorta miss them.

I hope everyone has a fantastic day today!

Gayle, I know you'll get a workout in today!!! I loved what you wrote on the OD about women who motivate you; I feel the same way :)

Laura, I actually love eggs w/ onions and peppers! I am a complete veggie freak, though, and will add them to anything, any meal, any time

Deanie, I read a question you had asked a while ago (when I didn't have time to respond) about whether to continue with SIM or do the WOD from 603... I love SIM so much that I couldn't give you an unbiased answer. ;) Perhaps you could do the WODs for a couple of weeks and then go back to SIM? Having a break from SIM makes me appreciate it so much more when I get back to it. :)

Hello to everyone else - I am not forgetting or neglecting you, I am just in a hurry!!!

Melissa

=====================================

Gayle::: hope you get a workout in today.

Laura::: I love veggies in my eggs! But I am a vegetarian also, so.....

Missy::: I hear you about SIM, that's why I've decided to continue with it for another few weeks, do the 603 deadlift program, and then start up again with SIM. I plan to go thru SIM and complete it at some point, taking breaks when needed. Have a nice visit with your sister!

Hi Everyone,

I am going for a run tonight unless it rains and then I'll do something else.

Gayle ~ I hope you get your workout in tonight. Don't work too hard!!

Laura ~ Great job with writing down your meals for the day. I do much better when I plan things out which is why I tend to eat lots of the same foods. It helps to keep me on track. I schedule in one cheat meal a week but most times I don't even have it.

Deanie ~ Great job with the workout today!!

Marcy ~ I'll let you know about Insanity.

Rhonda ~ Glad you had a great time in Miami.

Waves hello to Tammy, Melissa and Andilynn.

okay, just popped into the od forum, which I don't usually do, and Gayle!! I totally agree with your "what women motivate you!" statement. Tough women moving heavy weight rock!!...............and I think my DH would agree;)

Good Afternoon!

Real busy today. Didn't get to lunch until 2:30. I did Mix It Up today. Lots of band work in this one. Did all of it except substituted abs for KPC abs which I haven't done in ages. Still able to do all the pikes.

Mid-section series - jabs, upper cuts, etc.
Chair pose - 30 secs.
plie squat hold - 30 secs.

Standing chest fly - 5#

Bent leg kicks (floorwork)
Chest press on floor - 8#

My chest has been sore for two days so I'll be doing Firm It Up tomorrow - total leg workout.

Rhonda - I'll be doing Slim Series for 4 weeks. I'll see how I feel after that. May do an additional two weeks but then I might go back to heavy lifting/kettlebells. Sounds like you had a great visit in Miami.

Missy - I also love eggs with pepper and onions. Enjoy your visit with your sister. I can't go too long without doing pullups/chinups. Don't want to lose my strength. It took too long to be able to build it up.

Tammy - I agree with Deanie that ETK is a great place to start. You can really concentrate on your form and build up your strength. It does get very repetitious though. You might also want to consider Lauren Brooks' Kettlebell Conditioning DVD. It comes with a tutorial and has a 12-min. fat blasting workout and a 40-min. total body workout. These seem to be a little more cardio oriented and she does plenty of bodyweight moves too.

Gayle - I hope you get your workout in tonight.

Laura - Great job on your clean eating! I agree writing everything down is the absolute best way to get results.

Waves to Jane and Andilynn!

Marcy

Hi All!

My plan today was AOS Newport, but by round 4 I just wasn't feeling it, so I jumped on the treadmill for 30 minutes.

Deanie~ Thanks again for all your help. I guess I'm just so confused by all the different workouts, and the different moves which I still don't know and essentially, by the way to really incorporate kettlebells into a routine that works for me. Apparently I've got a lot of research to do. I do frequent the AOS forums, and I'll take a look at the DD forums. GREAT workout today for you...your workouts blow me away.

Laura~ good job with your diet today. I really have to clean mine up...I'm hoping if I keep writing it, it will happen  Have fun with p90x, I've done it a few times. Some workouts I loved and some I dreaded.

Gayle~ Hope you got your WORKOUT in ;)

Melissa~ have fun with your workout.

lioness~ hope you had a great run.

Marcy~ Great workout, I'll have to check out the lauren brooks DVD.

Have a good night everyone!
