How would I?

Okay you guys...I bought a nice black t-shirt with rhinestones on the front. How would I go about washing it so that it does not fade and the stones do not fall off? Thanks in advace~deb

My first thought would be on the delicate cycle & turn it inside out.

Hand wash or like Debbie said. I think Cheer has a detergent designed specifically for dark colors to prevent fading.

I'm a "throw it in the wash & whatever happens, happens" kind of gal. With that said, I've got a couple of shirts with sequins & rhinestones & I just turn them inside out & throw them in with my other clothes. So far so good. I've washed each several times & haven't lost anything. As for fading, I've never tried a detergent specially formulated for dark colors but I've heard some good things about it.

Good luck!

in addition to the above, purchase a mesh bag to wash delicates in and wash it in that always. This is what I do with all my decorated t shirts, like yours, and it works a dream. Also, use cold water.

I don't have any shirts with sequins or rhinestones, but my DD does, and I just turn them inside out and throw them in the regular wash and they've been absolutely fine.

Thanks You Guys!! I did buy a bottle of Cheer for Dark colored clothing. I will wash it in cold, in a mesh bag I have. I went to a wine tasting event and bought a baby doll t-shirt in black that says,"Got Wine?" in Rhinestones...very cute and wasn't cheep. Here goes. Thanks again.:) deb
