Hi!
I know that this is an embarrasing question but, I have only you all to ask. Since I know you guys are one sweaty bunch, I wonder how one goes about removing that "sweaty smell" from my workout clothing! I have tried every detergent around. I do not have this problem with any of my other clothing, just my workout stuff. HELP!! DEb D

Hi, Deb! A couple of different things have worked well for me. The 1st is adding a cup of baking soda to the water in the washing machine before adding my clothes. That worked well on all but my stinkiest stuff ( sorry, maybe too much info! :) ). Something I found recently that has shot to the TOP of my list is Febreeze for the washing machine. This isn't the same stuff that you just spray on the fabric. That stuff gives me a headache. :-( This is something they came out with just in the last couple of months that is specifically for laundry. Even my most stubborn stink ( You know, on the bras that I've had for 3 years ) came out with this stuff.

I hope this helps!

Hi! Pretty much a ditto on what Erin said. Except I think Febreeze has been out for a while already. I'm only saying this because I have been using it for at least a year. Anyway, this product is GREAT. They have now even come out with a liquid solution that you can also pour in your wash. I did not find that as effective as the spray that you actually spray onto your clothes right after you pull it out of the wash. You have to hang dry the clothes after you spray it. Don't let the scent of the spray turn you off. Its pretty strong and its a scent that you would not want on your body. But as soon as your clothes dry the smell is completely gone. You do have to spray an awful lot of this stuff on the real "stinky" pieces but it is sooooo worth it. This product has saved me from throwing away many bra tops and exercise wear. IT REALLY WORKS!!! Oh, I also have never had any reactions, rashes, or breakouts from using this product. One final thing. It comes in extra strength and regular. I would stick with regular strength for clothing because the extra strength may contain chemicals that are too harsh for the skin since extra strength seems to be geared towards rugs, pet odors on furniture etc. Good Luck!!!

Thank you both SO much for your input. AND,Cathe I am again so impressed with your attentiveness. I promise I won't ask any more really personal questions, you know like about feminine hygene products etc..LOL. I mean, is nothing sacred?

Happy sweating to both of you!!
