how much cardio is enough per week

how much cardio do you all do a week? I am not looking to loose weight. If I do, I won't say no, but I want to simply be and look fit and be healthy.

I don't really have a only cardio workout, I use the premixes as cardio or I even consider circuit workouts as cardio. Am I wrong to consider that? For cardio (they are circuit but all include cardio premixes), I own only Body Max 2, Low Impact and Drill Max. I feel it's enough. I play around with them. Of course, if I want extreme cardio, I do the cardio premix in Body Max 2. I normally do cardio or circuit once or max twice a week. Sometimes, I do them 3 times but not so often. I really enjoy them. But I am doing Butts and Guts twice a week, since my lower body is not as fit as my upper body. So I don't have a lot of room to do much cardio. I also do one day of upper body and one day of full body. I can't do more than 5 days a week, I will never last. Am I doing all right? Or I am missing some cardio.

It's funny because I use to only do cardio. But I want a ripped look, so I focus on weight.

I also have Muscle Max and I incorporate 3 workouts of Jari Love (not so much, but sometimes as a full body workout).

What do you think?

cardio is very individual. there are people on this board that do it 6 times per week (bless their heart) and those that don't do it at all and just lift. if your not looking to loose weight and your getting the results from what your current cardio frequency is providing, then i say its ok. no need to do unecessary cardio. twice a week is fine. for me, i do it 4 times for a couple of reasons. one: i like cardio and two: when i do less i don't look as defined. hope this helps.

oh, by the way, i can only workout 5 days a week too. on the 6th i'm just pooped and i don't get a good workout. i also feel runned down and start showing signs of overtraining when i do 6 days a week.;-)

when you do it 4 times a week. Do you have time to fit some weight training too? Do you do like 30 min cardio, 30 min weights? Or only cardio for an hour? just curious. because i think i might add cardio by doing a 30 min / 30 min

Right now I alternate cardio with weight training. One day cardio the next day weights. I really like this because it gives my body a chance to rest.

i've done it all ways. i've alternated cardio and weights each day like the other poster said. one day cardio and the next weights and so on. i've done 30 min cardio and 30 min weights for a workout session. right now though, this is my routine
monday: full body workout with 30 min run right after
tuesday: 45 min cardio
wednesday: legs and abs
thursday: 45 min cardio
friday: circuit workout (sometimes i will add on cardio after this)
the longest workout day is monday which ends up being about 90min. other then that i workout for about 1 hr a day.
