I was watching the first few minutes of Martha Stewart today and she did a small segment about a 7 year old boy in Chicago who makes jewelry and gives ALL the profits to the local animal shelters. How wonderful is that? She did a brief phone interview with him and he has raised and donated $1000.00 so far. He has his own little business now. He has 20 kids working for him and when he is out selling he requires everyone to where a suit because he feels like people will be more inclined to buy something from a professional looking person.
I was tearing up listening to this. What an amazing heart this little guy has. He is selling some of his jewelry this Saturday at Kiehls in Chicago. I wish I were closer. I'd buy something just to make the donation. You hear so many negative things about today's youth. It's so nice to hear a story like this.
