Hemp protein

I usually try to get my protein from whole food sources, but have days when I'm in a rush, or want something light before bed, etc. I really don't to get soy protein because I use soy milk, sometimes have sandwiches with the soy chicken, etc., so thought hemp might be a good one to try. Anyone tried hemp protein powder?

I'm mildly lactose intolerant, so thought whey might not do well with me.

TIA

I use hemp protein powder. It IS a whole food (just ground hemp) so it fits in well with a whole foods diet.

I like Nutiva best for flavor.

I use two scoops in my morning smoothie.

Hemp contains a specific type of protein tha is only found in hemp, as well as albumin, like in eggs. The protein in hemp is supposedly very assimilable by the human body. It's an excellent food.

Another option is a pea/rice protein blend, or just pea protein powder.
