Help ? about working same muscle 2 days in a row

Can you work the same body part 2 days in a row if after day 1 the muscle isn't sore? (I know I didn't work the body part hard. It was a circuit workout so the muscle didn't get worked long enough to be very effective).
Opinions?

A muscle doesn't have to be sore to have been worked out. DOMS varies greatly from person to person, and from workout to workout.

If you are doing very light weights (like those used in the Firm '4-limbed aerobics' workouts), then I'd say that you could work the same muscle group again. Doing so is like doing Freestyle training, the goals of which are to gain endurance and strength without gaining any size (or even losing size).
 
It's not advisable. Muscle fibers are torn or slightly damaged by weight training & typically need 48 hours to recover. As Kathryn said, it may be OK if you're doing light weights or Freestyle, but as far as traditional weight training goes, it would be counterproductive.
