Healthy- Moderate eating 3/24 Fri

Ok I stepped on the scale after eating the 'Eat to Live' way for one week and lost 4 pounds! I'm hooked. Rarely am I overly hungry, and eating this way has been a relatively mild transition.

Eating out this weekend will be interesting. We are planning pizza before going to the Billy Joel concert, and date night tonight with DH. I'll eat at home first in both cases and order salads if available. I will have a glass of wine tonight though. :9 :*

Hello everyone, Happy Friday:

Judy, I am so jealous! My husband has been playing keyboards since he was 9 and he would be so excited to go see Billy Joel! I hope you have a blast. We were given free tickets to see the Rolling Stones when they were in Dallas. We weren't expecting much but the show was GREAT! They sounded the same as ever (although I must say they didn't LOOK the same LOL. It's good to know even rock stars age!)

Yesterday was good. The only thing I added to my menu was baked beans at dinner. I love those things and I always justify them by saying they have protein!
Today is:

B - mixed cereal (Go lean/fiberone) and LF milk
L - pb & banana sandwich on WW & baby carrots
S - Orange & rice cakes
D - Grilled chicken and vegies

I ended up doing lo max and pub yesterday and I feel great! Today I will walk 2 miles at lunch and try for 2 more miles on the treadmill when I get home as well as do power Yoga (don't know if I'll have time for the whole hour or not)

TGIF, everyone -

Judy - how cool about your Eat to Live results! I haven't really stuck to the plan - just switched out a big salad for my regular lunch and changed up breakfast to incorporate more fruit. I just don't think I can live without a hot meal for dinner. Are you missing those?

B - Yogurt; banana, soy milk
L - Big salad
D - something lentil-related
Snacks - I have an orange, 1/2 avocado, and some nuts with me. So it depends on how hungry I get.

I am just swamped with work this morning and I hate starting the day so frustrated with my H's p*ss-poor bookkeeping methods! MEN! x( x(

Today made homemade cinnamon rolls...for the kids...but ended up having one myself. :9

I have alot of errands to run once I get H's invoicing straightened out so I'll just take nuts and an apple with me to eat between appts.

Will workout here shortly though or I won't have time today...will be cardio after that roll this morning! Maybe a ctx workout plus 30 minute run on treadmill.

Happy Friday To All! :7

Good for you,Judy. I blew it big time yesterday. I had a flat tire on my car when I left the grocery store yesterday afternoon. Two and a half hours later, I still hadn't found anyone to change it. (I tried, but couldn't get the nuts loose.) Being the emotional eater that I am, this frustration called for 3 (yes 3!) donuts. Why wasn't my flat tire in front of gym! I didn't get home until 7:30, and am normally in bed by 8. Oh well, today is another day.
B- fresh fruit salad, toasted oatmeal bread w/PB&J
L- turkey wrap, carrots, yogurt
D- Broiled haddock w/ roasted red pepper sauce, asparagus, rice
S - grapes
Since I'm off tomarrow, there will probably be a couple glasses of wine in my future. Hope all your tires stay inflated.

((( hugs to you Robin!)))
We have all been down the emotional eating road before. Don't frt about the past. Just look ahead!

Shannon- I like hot food in winter too. I am drinkg a few sups of peppermint tea with no sweetener each day too. it helps keep me warm. also every lunch has been hot suop with either beans or lentls and loads ov veggies. Plus raw veggies on the side.

Ps- I found a lage jar of dried mushrooms at BJ's club and have been precooking them in boiling water 2" in microwave, and throwing my soup on top of them . They make any soup tast great, and hve proetein in them.

{{{HUGS}}} to Robin too, I know all about emotional eating!!!

Did well yesterday, no time to post menu, just finished lunch and now back to work.

Today I'm on track and have the rest of my meals planned. Don't feeling the urge to binge so I think I'm good!!

Hey Judy - so you're not doing the two huge salad a day thing? I keep forgetting about the beans. Are you eating any kale? Seems like his recipes at the end of the book featured loads of the stuff, which I have not gotten up the nerve to try yet.

Shannon-
Some days I eat two salads. And other days I eat two cups or more of raw veggies like broccoli, cauliflower or carrots for at one of the meals. f I also eat a cooked veggie at dinner most of the time too. ( for ex., snow peas, spaghetti squash, roasted mushrooms or eggplant or sweet peppers)

ETA- I have two servings of fruit in the afternoon for a snack also
